Thank you for adding comments to the maps; also to say how well they are scanned and one can read practically all the station names after 67 years, at least, in the life of these maps. Map 2 is important as it shows how far East we had to travel into the depth of Russia because the Western lines were extremely busy with military traffic both to and from the front; so as not to interfere with the military trains. Traffic around Moscow was overloaded and dangerous because of possible attacs by the German forces. The result of all this was the extended time of travel, starvation, all sorts of health problem causing many unnecessary deaths especially for the weak.
