An excellent book by Teresa Toranska titled “THEM” Stalin Polish Puppets. ISBN 0-06-015657-0
This book shows the thinking of the Soviets not only about Poland but how they plotted and thought about the rest of the world and Poland .
The book is written by doing interviews with the past communists leaders of Poland . It shows their lack of respect for human life, how they plotted to gain total control of Poland and their total respect and commitment to the PARTY at the expense of human life and the Polish system developed over 1,000 years.
Deportation of 1.5 million citizens of Poland and 250,000 military men is mentioned (page 216) with out any rebuttal from Jakub Berman or those that were interviewed. This is another concrete argument pointing to the fact that the 1.5 million is correct or at least a low number. Otherwise it would have been made an issue as with other issues during the interview.
Out of 384 pages in the book 151 pages are devoted to the interview with Jakub Berman the main person in charge or involved in Polish government or its affairs from 1939 through 1950. He also claimed full access to Stalin and all of the Russian ruling party members.
For those who still claim that Jews did not conspire with Russia to run the Polish government please read this book and the spoken words of Jakub Berman and others. It should lay to rest those inaccurate thoughts.
When reading this book please keep in mind the steps taken to divide the people or political and religious groups so that the communist group could become the greater group and gain power of the entire country and the other groups to control them also. This negative strategy is important today and in everyday life. It could be used against our group and our countries. It could be applied and cause considerable harm to all of our liberties.
This is a history book and a great insight on Polish history and who was involved and how. I would also suggest accessing all the names mentioned in the book through a search engine like google.com. add Poland to that search. This will bring up additional information on that person and additional historical information during that period of time. You can then subdivide the information and save it for your future reference.
Sub categories could be as follow: so when you need to look something up you will be able to find or view it quickly

Graves of Poles murdered by the NKVD secret police found near Kyiv
Graves of Polish soldiers killed in 1940 by the Stalinist NKVD secret police have been discovered in Bykovnia , near the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv. They are remnants of a group of 3thousand 435 Poles, prisoners from the so called Western Ukraine, soldiers and police officers who were detained by the Soviets in Ukraine and who disappeared without a trace in 1940. Some 22 thousand Polish officers and soldiers were taken prisoner by the Red Army after the Soviet Union invaded eastern Poland in 1939 following the Molotov Ribbentrop non aggression pact between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany signed that year. Thousands of the Poles were shot in Katyn forest, others in Kharkiv. The Soviet Union blamed Nazi Germany for the massacre. In 1990 the then Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachov acknowledged Soviet responsibility, but Russia ’s military prosecution closed the investigation in 2004 refusing to acknowledge it as either a war crime or a crime against humanity. The Polish side had been refused the files relating to the case.
