The War of the World (Channel 4 Monday 03 July 8pm-9pm)
This episode covers the start of World War II. It had a fair amount
about the Polish suffering mostly at the hands of the Germans but the
Soviet invasion, occupation and deportations were mention.
Said something like the Nazis "found very few collaborates in Poland"
but went on to mention Jedwabne (the high figure of 1,600 was used and
the blame placed on their neighbours but the fact they were Polish was
not mention) however it also referred to Latvian, Lithuanian and
Romanian attacks on the Jews.
In the main a fair and positive image of Poland was present. Believe
it is repeated on `More 4' on Saturday 20.10 & 00.55 Sunday in the UK.
