I would also like a copy.
Today I was talking to Andrezj at Sikorski in London [what can I find
when I visit]. He told me something I never knew!. When
Polish/Ukrainian/others left USSR to go over Caspian Sea, all
paperwork/doc's/release papers, were supposed to be taken off them, by
Russian soldiers/guards, and they must NEVER speak about what has been
happening to them on Russian soil! [or their families would suffer]
This explains a lot. No 'release' papers available from those held
in 'confinement'. Russian soldiers were supposed to send 'papers' to
their superiors, but, as there were so many, most got
thrown away etc.
Russians were not happy letting those 'conscripted' to Russian Army
get out of Russia, they were a 'labour force' and as such, useful.
Also, I have a 9 page doc, in 'Word' that I just scanned into my m/c,
telling what you can find in Lviv State Archives. I would like it to
get onto AFO 'Recourse's', but don't know who does this thesedays? If
you want it, email me at 'ladbrooke@...' and I'l pass it on
