Yesterday when i arrived home from Sydney, I
received a letter from the Polish Red Cross. Over a year ago i sent an
email requesting details of my maternal uncle who died in a concentration camp
in Germany sometime during the war - I didnt have a date. One year later i
received a reply - the reasons why there were problems were that my uncles
surname was mispelled in their records (instead of DABROWSKI it was DOMBROWSKI)
and the date of birth they had was one year earlier than the real
So be aware that this may happen when you are
dealing with archival material.
But finally i got place and date of death and
also where he was buried as well as grave number.
