Personally I find driving in Poland when I'm trying to relax and take in the sights as much
Public transportation is still much better than in the US. I'm sure that if there is no train
station in the villages where you're going to, there is bus service. That's how I'd do it. Once
you get there someone may have a car to take you around.
Public transport also gives you a good feel for the people and surroundings.
