I've had to log off for a while due to time constraints, but I read
the posts occasionally.
I'd like to share a little success with the group. I've managed to
trace records/details about my Great Grandfather and Great Great
Grandfather in the village of Dawidkowce through the State Archives
in the Ukraine. It's a great find because of the uncertainty
surrounding the family history. I would certainly not have discovered
this without the leads/information provided by the K-S Group.
I seem to have lost contact with Sylvia Carpenter in Canada, who was
sending me photo's of my Dad's village from her trip to the Ukraine,
and also translating letters from the Archives in Lviv. I have sent a
few messages to her in the last two months but have not had a reply.
I'm beginning to get a little worried about her because we were
corresponding regularly. Has anyone had contact with Sylvia recently?
If so, would you please contact me.
In the meantime could anyone please translate two short letters(from
Ukraine to English) I recently received from the Archives in Lviv and
Ternopil? If you can help I can e-mail the letters to you.
Please contact me on my personal e-mail address with your reply and
not via the K-S group post.
Regards, Ken Fedzin. Dewsbury, England.
