We have determined that it is more important to be able to provide support after the national spotlight dims. This will provide the time for us to clearly assess the needs and to be there for the longer haul. Donations to the fund can be mailed to the foundation at:The Kiwanis Foundation of Greater Danbury, Inc.PO Box 372Danbury, CT 06823-0372(Please write Newtown Fund in the memo line)The Danbury Kiwanis have members who live in Newtown and members who work in Newtown. These members will be key contributors in the determination of fund distribution over the years. The Danbury Kiwanis has been serving the Greater Danbury area for 70 years.------------------------------IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT KFNE ANNUAL MEETINGTHE CORRECT DATE IS MAY 4, 2013The mailing that was sent out to the clubs had the incorrect date of May 11, 2013.Please make sure your Club Representative has the correct information and fills out the form.--------------------
Hello Fellow eKiwanis Club Secretaries and Presidents!
My name is Eric Hotchkiss and I am a member of the New York Young Professionals eKiwanis Club based out of the state of New York in the USA. I am contacting you today to seek your help and request interest level of an idea I had at an online meeting last month. Considering most of us if not all of us typically have meetings in the virtual world, I thought it might be an awesome idea to get as many of us online as possible to have a social mingle via chat. I know logistics would be the biggest challenge due to time zones and schedules but as of right now I was thinking possibly hosting it in late February 2013.
Right now I am just looking to each of you to communicate with your clubs to see if they would be interested in some sort of event like this and if enough of the clubs are interested I would move forward with logistics such as a date, time and a chat that can host all of us, I am also currently looking into video chats as well as it may be a viable option.
I understand that it is the holiday season and many of us have put things on the back burner to be with family and friends, if you have not yet, PLEASE DO! If it is possible could someone from your club contact me to let me know if your members are interested.
Thank you for your time and I wish a very safe, happy and healthy holiday season and New Year!
