      The Kiwanis Club of Westbrook (ME) will be holding the Westbrook Kiwanis Relays at the Westbrook High School Track Field beginning at 4pm. Approximately 12 schools from the surrounding area will participate in all events. Westbrook High School Key Club along with Westbrook Kiwanis Members will volunteer to help out in all areas.

      The Manchester (NH) Kiwanis Club will hold their Annual Spring "Fish with a Child" program. This morning event hosts 35 children from the Manchester Housing & Redevelopment Authority at a pond at the Londonderry Fish & Game Club which is stocked by the club. Each child is given a new fishing pole to use & keep. Afterwards there is a BBQ lunch sponsored by several Kiwanis members.

      The Kiwanis Club of Whitman's (MA) will hold their Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast at the Whitman VFW.

      May 15, 2008

      Kiwanis Day will be held at the Uno Chicago Grill, 2320 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield, CT. Up to 20% of food, drink and take out purchases that day, with a Kiwanis coupon, will be donated to The Kiwanis Club of Fairfield (CT) to benefit the Local Key Clubs. For a coupon, contact Pres.       The Kiwanis Club of Standish (ME) will be holding their Annual Boat Races on Watchic Lakes on May 16th through 18th with races on Saturday, May 17th and Sunday May 18th. They will also be holding their Annual Bike Rodeo and Safety Course on the 17th at the Bonney Eagle High School.

      Kiwanis Key Leader event at Camp Hayward, Sandwich, MA. All Kiwanis Clubs are encouraged to sponsor students to these weekend leadership camps for high school students. This highly acclaimed Kiwanis program focuses on service leadership as the first, most meaningful leadership development experience.       The Kiwanis Club of East Boston (MA) will hold their Bicycle Rodeo at Dominic Savio School Yard, Orient Heights from 10am till 1pm. 

      The Kiwanis Club of Waterbury (CT) will have their Reading is Fundamental Finale at 10:00am.

      The Milford (CT) Kiwanis Club will be cooking and serving food and refreshments at the Annual Bob Cooke Memorial Walk-a-thon for Skin Cancer. Bob was a former member who died from skin cancer.

      The Kiwanis Club of Hooksett (NH) will be sponsoring a new Key Club at the Manchester Central High School at 6:30pm. The Charter Presentation Event will be held in McAllister Hall in the Practical Arts Building at the High School, 207 Lowell St., in Manchester, NH. Manchester Central is NH's oldest and largest public high school. The new Key Club was officially organized on April 2nd with 90 charter members. Kiwanis Governor John Maihos and Key Club Governor (2007-2008) Jeff Poulin plan to attend. Light refreshments will be served. Contact Fred Bishop for additional information <fredwbishop@...>.

      The Kiwanis Club of Fairfield (CT) will sponsor the Lt. Gov. Caucus for Division 24. From noon to 1:30pm, it will held during the Fairfield Kiwanis regular weekly meeting, at the Gaelic American Club, 74 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT.

      The Kiwanis Club of New London will hold their Annual Golf Tournament at the Shennecossett Municipal Golf Club in Groton. Registration will begin at 11:00am with a 12:30 shotgun start. Players, Sponsors, Raffle Prizes and Volunteers are all needed! 

      MAY 24, 2008

      The Kiwanis Club of Hardwick will be again hosting the Hardwick spring Festival on Saturday, May 24th. They have been hosting this for over 60 years. The parade will start at 11am immediately following a Veterans Memorial Ceremony at the park across from the Memorial Building. The parade route will be the same as previous years.       The Kiwanis Club of Fairfield (CT) will be selling peanuts at Fairfield's Memorial Day Parade. Peanuts will be sold in the shell and honey roasted. The Kiwanis Club of Fairfield has proudly sold peanuts at this annual event for 40 years. Over 50 club members collaborate to raise funds and perform service projects that improve the lives of so many children right here in our community.       The Westport (CT) Kiwanis Club will be hosting a pancake breakfast at Christ & Holy Church in mid parade route on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26th. The event will be to foster Community Spirit and raise money for Staples High School scholarships.

      The Kiwanis Club of Fairfield (CT) will hold a Scholarship Luncheon Day, at noon, held at the Gaelic American Club, 74 Beach Road, Fairfield.

      The Kiwanis Club of East Boston (MA) will host a 1960's Woodstock Theme party, "KiwanisStock," as their Fundraiser on Friday, May 30th. There will be dinner, dancing, raffles, an auction for Red Sox tickets, prizes for best 60's Groovy outfit, a dance contest and trivia contest! Music by DJ John Dudley. Tickets are only $35; please reserve your seats by Friday, May 23rd. We need your support as this is the only fundraiser for the year and all proceeds go to our Community Service Account which funds the many causes we support throughout the year.

      The Kiwanis Club of Haverhill (MA) will hold their 19th Annual Golf Classic to support Kiwanis Charities. It will be held at the Haverhill Country Club beginning at noon. Players & sponsors are welcome. This fund raising effort has raised over $300,000 over the past 18 years. This year's event offers the JETBLUE CHALLENGE, trips, Airline Tickets, Golf Bags, Clubs, Sports Bags. There will be Hole-in-One for a Toyota Camry, 50/50 contest and a closest to the pin shoot-out for $50,000 and the JetBlue Challenge Champion Trophy.       The Kiwanis Club of Standish (ME) will be holding their Second Annual Duck Races down the Saco River, 1st and 2nd prizes are 4 tickets each to the Saturday, July 12th Red Sox game with a 7:05 pm start and these are for right field seats. Tickets are $5.00 each and the first 30 ducks as well as prizes for slow poke ducks and if duck goes missing. Please send an email <ToddRDelaneyME@...> if you have an interest in participating.

      The Manchester (NH) Kiwanis Club will hold their Annual Fund Raising Auction on the spacious grounds of the Webster House. There will be a professional auctioneer & a "celebrity Auctioneer." Most items are new, there are lots of gift certificates.  Food is available on the site.

      The Brattleboro (VT) Kiwanis Club will be participating in the "Strolling of the Heifers." 

      The Kiwanis Club of Hanson (MA) will hold their Family Safety Day at the Shaw's Parking lot in Hanson.

      The Kiwanis Club of St Johnsbury will hold their Second Annual Division 8 Bocce Tournament. It will take place at their Pool Facility with a delicious dinner cooked outside on the grill by their "World Renowned Chefs."

      The Kiwanis Club of New Bedford (MA) will be having their 20th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, June 20th at the Acushnet River Valley Golf Course in Acushnet, MA.       The Kiwanis Club of Sheffield is having their 15th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, June 20th at the Egremont Country Club in Great Barrington, MA. There will be a Shotgun start at noon. The fee of $100 per person includes greens fee, golf cart, lunch on the course,hors d'oeuvres, dinner & prizes. Players who want to participate but do not have partners will be grouped by the Golf Tournament Committee. Only the first 36 teams will be accepted, so register early.       The Second Annual Keene Kiwanis Antique Dealers Show and Sale will be at the Keene High School on Arch Street in Keene, NH. Doors will open to the public at 9am and are open till 3:00 pm. There will be a $5.00 entry fee. Last year was their initial attempt at an antique show and it went so well they are expanding to include up to 50 dealers this year! Questions?       The Hooksett Kiwanis Foundation will host the 12th Annual Hooksett Open Golf Tournament at the Candia Woods Golf Links. Candia Woods opened for play in 1964. The golf course was designed by Phil Wogan whose  father, Skip Wogan, worked directly for the famed golf course architect Donald Ross. Although Candia Woods offers the challenge to tournament players, it is a very enjoyable course for players of all abilities. Generous fairways & the option to run the ball on to every green are part of the reason that it is called the friendliest course in NH. The cost per golfer is $110 or $440 for a foursome.       The Manchester (NH) Kiwanis Club will hold their 2nd Annual "Kiwanis Day with the Fisher Cats" at Merchants Motors Stadium along the Merrimack River. This will also be a fundraiser and a 50/50 Raffle. It will be a family event with underprivileged children attending as guests; one of the children is chosen to throw out the first ball.       The Kiwanis Club of Mount Washington Valley (NH)will host a day long train ride to Crawford Notch on the Conway Scenic Railroad to benefit Camp Sunshine. They hope Kiwanians from area clubs will join with them. The train can carry upwards of 350 passengers. This train is a special run just for Kiwanis to help this worthy cause.       The Manchester (NH) Kiwanis Club will hold it's Annual "Ten K Raffle" at the Chateau Restaurant. This is a reverse raffle with cash & merchandise prizes with a grand prize of $10,000. A limited number of tickets are sold at $150; they allow 2 adults to participate in the raffle and a dinner at the Chateau Hospitality Complex. Check their website for additional information.
