All day at a Fly-In at the Great Barrington, MA airport. For more information, please contact Joe Todd <todd116@...>.The Kiwanis Club of Brattleboro (VT) will be serving refreshments to travelers at the Southeastern Vermont Welcome Center on Interstate 91 North in Guilford, VT. It will include coffee, tea, water, finger foods such as sandwiches, cookies, chips donuts, baked goods, etc. All items will be by donations only as they are not able to charge. They begin at 7:30am and may continue all day until 9pm or until they run out of items.September 4, 2011The Kiwanis Club of Newington’s (CT) Big K Flea Market/Craft Fair will be open every Sunday in September and October from 8 am to 2 pm in Newington's Market Square Free Parking Lot with scores of commercial vendors offering every kind of goods and products imaginable at hard to resist bargain prices. Business people routinely use the Big K as a showplace for products and services. For private citizens it’s an affordable place to have their tag sales. Entrance is at 39 E. Cedar St. (CT Route 175) near the corner of Main St, easily accessible from the Berlin Turnpike, CT Route 9 and not far from I-91 and I-84. Admission is $1 and vendor spaces are $15. Save the date and come help Kiwanis help children and their families.September 24, 2011The Hooksett Kiwanis Foundation, through sponsorship of United Healthcare, Inc. and other greater Hooksett community businesses, will be running a “United Healthcare/Hooksett Kiwanis 5K” race. It will be run at 8:30 am, starting on the picturesque Heads Pond Rail Trail across from 1822 Hooksett Rd. in Hooksett, NH. Runners will proceed to the end at the Town Pond, back track ¼ mile and take a left on to a natural woods trail on a conservation easement. This easement trail ends at the cul-de-sac bulb of Campus Road, where runners will proceed to University Heights down to the Hooksett Library, finishing on the wide majestic lawn of Mount Saint Mary's Condominium Association. Medals and prizes will be given to the top three finishers of each gender and age group. The first 100 participants will receive a specially designed race T shirt. Signup for the race can be completed on line by going to the Kiwanis Club of Hooksett website at<www.hooksettkiwanis.org> and clicking on the Road Race tab on the left side of the home page. Links on this page will take you to the registration page and a map of the course. Although, online signup will end September 17, cash (only) signup will be available from 7:00AM to 8:00AM on the day of the race. Funds raised from this event will support the work Hooksett Kiwanis Foundation, a 501 (c)3 charitable organization. Over $70,000 has been invested to date in Hooksett Kiwanis’ signature project of constructing and maintaining trails. Other projects include sponsorship of Cawley School Builders Club, Key Club at Manchester's Central High School, the Hooksett Community Food Pantry, Kiwanis Kid’s Kloset clothing program for children, as well as, numerous other programs for children.
