A club has the option of paying the entire $11.90 liability insurance from its community service account. If a club chooses this option, the following is the out-of-pocket costs to the club for a family member. If a club chooses to collect the $11.90 from the member, both columns below would need to be increased by $11.90. Some of the areas affected are served by the Westfield, West Springfield/Agawam, and Springfield Clubs.The city of West Springfield is housing about 150 families on the Big E fairgrounds. There are going to be many homeless families as a result of the homes being condemned as a result of the storm. The Kiwanis Club of West Springfield/Agawam (MA) has become very involved with helping the victims of the tornadoes. The New Merchandise and Items scheduled for Auction are displayed and bidding starts at 7PM nightly. Not to be missed is the famous Orono–Old Town Kiwanis Hot Dog Booth. Community Service Groups are allowed to set up their fundraising booths. The Kiwanis Club of Revere (MA) will have a pool of ducks. For $1.00, you can pick a duck. Everyone wins a prize. Kiwanians, their friends and relatives are needed to work the booth. The hours are 10 until 6. This is a chance for raising the needed funds to support our community service projects and Kiwanis programs.July 18, 2011The Kiwanis Club of St Johnsbury (VT) has invited the Kiwanis Club of Hardwick (VT), our own District Governor Ron’s club, to a Bocce Match. It will be held at Barker Avenue in St Johnsbury beginning around 5. The camp is for children with special needs, ages 8-18 who want to learn to ride a bicycle without training wheels. The camp has been the only one of its kind in New England.Children from divisions around New England have benefited in so many ways, not only by learning to ride but by putting them on an equal level with other kids and increasing their self-esteem and independence.
