      SAVE THE DATE!! Andy Goldberg and Gerald MacKillop from the Kiwanis Club of Beverly (MA) will be “Bartending for the Bramble” on Tuesday, August 10TH from 6 - 9pm at the Mandrake Bar Bistro. All proceeds will go towards the Bramble in Beverly Golf Tournament that the club is co-sponsoring with Beverly Main Streets.

      THIS is the deadline for early bird rates for registration and meals. Registrations received after August 12TH and onsite will be charged a higher rate.

      The Kiwanis Club of East Boston (MA) will hold their Annual Senior Picnic on Thursday, August 12TH at Salem Willows. Registration will take place on August 2ND at 10:30am at the East Boston Social Centers. Requirements are: Registration fee of $2.00, 65 years of age or older, Proof of East Boston residency (Utility bill or ID).

      The Kiwanis Club of Barre (VT) will hold their Annual Steak Feed at the Barre Town Recreational Area shelter at 6:30pm. The cost will be $15.00 per person and the menu is strip steak, garden salad, potato salad, corn on the cob, soda and bottled water. Please remember to bring your own plates, silverware and table decorations. Division 9 Lt Gov Marty Wasserman and incoming Kiwanis officers for 2010-2011, NE Gov Ron Sanville, District 9 Lt Governor Designate Bill Mattenson and Kiwanis NE Foundation President Designate Al Paul, plan to be in attendance. Please notify Paula Dolan at 802-476-7414 or <jpdolan23@...>by Friday, August 13th. Let her know the number of people that are coming so that there will be enough food for all!! This is open to all Kiwanians, spouses, friends, etc. Raffle tickets for the Barre Kiwanis “Burlington Hilton Getaway” Raffle will be available, the price is $20.00 each.

      The Kiwanis Club of Beverly (MA) will hold their Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, August 30TH. There will be a box lunch at 12:00 and tee time is 1:30pm. The format will be a Bramble and there will be a dinner and prizes following the tournament. The cost is $99.00 per golfer and hole signs are $100.00 each.       The Kiwanis Club of Fairfield (CT) will be holding their 19TH Annual Fall Juried Arts and Crafts Fair, on Saturday, September 11TH and Sunday, September 12TH, from 10am to 5pm. Up to 100 crafters, selling original handmade work, will be on hand. In addition, the Kiwanis Club of Fairfield will be selling their famous hamburgers, hot dogs and bacon-egg-cheese sandwiches. Also, there will be a Bake Sale, a Hardy Mums sale, a Crafter's Raffle and some live entertainment.       The Kiwanis Club of St Johnsbury (VT) will hold their First Annual Adult Spelling Bee at the Father Lively Center. Teams of 4 spellers compete against each other, if a word is misspelled in the beginning, the team can buy Bee Bucks & compete again.       The new date for The Kiwanis Club of West Springfield/Agawam (MA) will be Wednesday, September 15TH. They will be having their Annual Steak Roast at the Dante Club, 1198 Memorial Avenue, West Springfield, MA 01089, (across from the Big E). Guest speakers are Incoming Lt Gov Denise Rueger and Candidate for District Treasurer, George Delisle. There will be plenty of food, Raffle Prizes, etc., and a cash bar. This would be a great time for all clubs to gather, not only to welcome Denise and give George our best, but to meet members from other clubs.

      Traumatic Brain Injury”.

      Their story is amazing, powerful and inspiring. All are welcome to attend.
