      TO PARTICIPATE IN WATER DANCE OF BOATS
      FOR EARTH CELEBRATIONS: HUDSON RIVER PAGEANT
      to raise awareness for the restoration of the Hudson River
      and address climate change in New York City.

      Downtown Section of the Hudson River Park-Saturday May 9th

      JOIN OUR PARTICIPATING BOAT GROUPS: The Village Community Boathouse,
      Downtown Boathouse, New York Harbor School, New York Kayak Company,
      LIC Community Boathouse

      WATER DANCE OF BOATS with bessie award winning Choreographer Alice
      Farley:
      The Water Dance of Boats highlights the Hudson River Pageant with
      kayaks, canoes and rowboats, from the Village Community, Downtown
      Boathouse,and NY Kayak Company, festooned with giant elemental river
      masks and floating marine life sculptures, by dancer/choreographe r/
      costume artist, Alice Farley. They participate in a visually
      spectacular choreographed movement on the river, accompanied by a
      Fish Sound Symphony, composed by the French Musician/Singer, Gregori
      Czerkinsky, incorporating fish sounds recorded off Lower Manhattan
      by Marine Field Station, The River Project.

      THE HUDSON RIVER PAGEANT:
      The Hudson River Pageant is a magnificent parade of giant puppets,
      spectacular costumes, music, dance, performances, songs, and poetry,
      highlighting the river, and its' species, habitats, and issues. The
      performances are presented at the various piers and significant sites
      along the parade route, from Manhattan Youth on Warren Street to
      Gansevoort Street, in the downtown portion of the Hudson River Park
      on Saturday, May 9, 2009, 1-6pm, (raindate: Sun. May 10).

      (Producing Partner), The Hudson River Park Trust (Sponsor), The
      River Project , Friends of Hudson River Park, The Village Community
      Boathouse, Downtown Boathouse, New York Harbor School, New York
      Kayak Company, LIC Community Boathouse, P3-Pier Park and Playground
      Association, Solar One, LES Ecology Center, We, theWorld, World
      Financial Center, Henry Street Settlement/ Abrons Arts Center, Boys
      and Girls Republic, Poet House, Church Street School for Music and
      Art, Friends of Washington Square Park, Washington Market Park,
      Friends of Bleeker Playground, One Brick, NY Cares, CB1, Americorps,
      PS234, PS150, PS89, Stuyvesant High School, NYU, Scenic Hudson,
      Riverkeeper, Clearwater, and more to join.

      OUR PLAN:

      NEEDED: KAYAKER VOLUNTEERS

      1-3 Water polo/or white Water kayaks with skilled kayakers who can
      perform the various elaborate choreography tricks such as the
      "baustle"-going on point with the kayak.

      3 River Kaykers who can do moves such as, "sculling for support"

      3-5-River Kayakers with Jeremy /Downtown Boathouse to do simple
      movement in decorated /costumed kayaks

      3 of Rob's Village Community Boathouse rowboats (perhaps fitted with
      platforms for Alice Dancer/Marine Costumes) -and rowers

      We will have 2 Rehearsals in April ( Now scheduled for Saturday April
      16 and 23. and Pageant May 9th (raindate May 10th) will confirm
      schedule once key participants are confirmed.
