Here is the google maps cut & paste on "Sleightsburg, NY" which is kind of cool...you can actually zoom in on the sucken barges near the launch site:
Also, here is a cut & paste of directions from the shared file on launch sites on KingstonPaddlePals site:
Sleightsburg Launch Site
Just South of the 9W Bridge over the Rondout Creek:
Turn East at the stop light onto North Broadway
Pass by the River View Condos
Right onto 1st Avenue
Left on Everson & Follow signs to launch (1 lane road, so look ahead)
Note: It’s a one lane road to launch…so look ahead unless you are good at backing up.
Call if you have any questions or if you want us to meet you. Diane
331-9321 .....................I doubt a Freer Park launch will be necessary butif Sleightsburg is full, just go one street further down 9W to Canal Street, take it to Freer Park. Don't be intimidated by the water chestnuts...just paddle north until you see a path through the water chestnuts, follow the path toward the lighthouse then head north again looking for a path into the creek.

Hi Diane! This is KAREN F. My two friends and I are still planning on going, but we are watching the weather. I would need directions to the launch site. I like the idea of grouping together, safety in numbers kind of thing. Talk to you later.
