My MD put me on the z pak this morning, so I expect it will kick in by Wed. Anyone else going? On Monday, August 18, 2014 7:41 AM, "waltgorgas@... Thank you Diane,Yes it is Liberty State Park.Winds are predicted to be 5 mph.I plan to get there early, so if I have your phone number, I can call about any details at Liberty Park.PS:Ellen Kelly’s trip to Vermont:Two days of kayaking,27 miles of road riding, dancing at an open air concert.Lots of food (I still have some left for breakfast this morning).Today:Down-hill biking off the gondola at Killngton,Trail riding in Rutland , if I have any energy left.Sent from Windows MailI'm reposting with copy/paste Walt's message about Statue of Liberty paddle to avoid it being lost in the "seal" thread.Walt probably intended "Liberty State Park" not "Freedom Park"For a recap: Walt and I had considered Vikki's (HV kayakers and beyond) Lady Liberty meetup but wanted to try for better weather/tide/current conditions. Paddlers should be comfortable in big boat wake and with assisted rescues, and have a 131/2 ft kayak with bow/stern bulkheads/SOT with deck lines for this paddle. Bring a marine radio if you have one. Drive is approximately 2 hours from Kingston according to goggle maps so we should be able to easily avoid morning rush hour traffic. Diane"Wednesday looks like the best day of the week.Mostly sunny with a high of 83 degrees.I don’t have any wind forecasts yet, but I expect them to be fairly calm.If we get to Freedom Park by 11:30, we should be fine.I haven’t been to Freedom Park for a couple years, so I will get there early to check it out.My cell phone is 845-489-3999.thanks,Walt"
