Hi everyone, I am just sending this again because it looks like it did not go through - at least I did not receive it - and since I am asking people to bring some items to next mtg, I want to make sure you receive this with a a little more advance notice than usual.  Looking forward to seeing everyone on Thursday!  Sandra

      Subject: Thursday's art projects

Hi everyone, Here's list of projects for 4/2.  I am asking everyone to bring some of the materials we need to create these projects - because some of them we don't have (black and white comic strips), some we don't have enough to go around, and some I think it would be fun to see and put together the various materials various people bring.  Also, if you do want to do a theme collage, you need to think about and gather materrials for that before the meeting.

We will have choice of 2 types of POP ART COLLAGES:
For a theme collage, first choose a theme (like protecting the environment, girlhood...., human rights, animal's rights....) that is important to you; then collect newspaper and magazine images and text related to your theme; you may also collect actual objects (flowers, eggshells, plastic cups, stamps, etc) related to your theme.  Please bring these to our meeting, and we will assemble them into theme collages.
For comic strip collage:  collect and bring to meeting several (as many as possible) black and white newpaper comic strips, to assemble into collages like those created by pop artist Roy Lichentenstein.

Also, if possible, please also bring to meeting:  some stones, gravel, sand, dirt (mud?), or any other similar natural materials you can find.  From these materials, we will design and create together an "earthworks" sculpture.

Can everyone let me know how many people are coming so I know how many copies of project pages to make?  Jamie, could you email directions to your house, or send me your address so we know where to meet Hannah to bring her to mtg?

      Thanks!

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Thursday!

      Sandra
