Senior QA Engineer
Position Description: This is a hands-on, QA Senior Engineering position that requires a range of skills. You will be responsible for designing and building test automation platforms to be used by the QA group. You will need to be an area expert and have a proven track record of designing telecoms test platforms. You will be able articulate opinions on design problems and be able to propose cost effective solutions. Being a senior engineer, you will use your experience and analytical skills in order to understand and debug systems as well as develop creative and innovative solutions to problems as they arise. You will foresee potential issues and proactively address them before they become problems.
You will need at least 10 years experience of telecommunications in a Test Environment
You will need a strong background in delivering �Carrier Grade� product to the customer
Proven track record of developing Test Platforms
You need to have good understanding of mobile telecommunications and Internet knowledge including subjects like SS7 protocols, TCP/IP, routing, tunneling, PPPoE, ATM, and VoIP.
You need to have a good understanding of VoIp including signaling and media gateway protocols.
You will need to have a good understanding of mobile data protocols such as GPRS
You will need to have a good understanding of GSM systems including BTS, BSC, MSC, HLR, VLR and the communication protocols.
You need to know transmission methods including Bluetooth, cable modems, DSL, satellite, and wireless.
You will need to be an expert on several off the shelf Test Tools, e.g K1205 and MGTS
You need to know the latest communications technologies as well as technologies of the future.
You need to be highly organized to handle large number of simultaneous activities in a very fast paced environment, yet flexible enough to respond quickly to critical issues.
You need to be a strong communicator who is skilled in developing and maintaining key professional relationships. You need to have a Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (i.e., computer science, engineering ).
