      Director, Quality, Manufacturing and Test Engineering

      This position is primarily responsible for working with key manufacturing partners to ensure their production and test engineering processes are capable of meeting OQO's product requirements. This position reports to the Vice President, Operations.

      � Recruit, train and provide leadership for a small staff of Manufacturing Engineers and Test Engineers to manage outsource relationships with key partners.
      � Drive "Design for Everything" (DFX) efforts on new products to ensure products are optimized for manufacturability, testability, serviceability, reliability, flexibility and cost.
      � Ensure key manufacturing partners have the process capabilities and capacities in place to support OQO's product requirements and production demands
      � Define OQO's test philosophy/strategy and ensure specific test plans are in place and implemented for each product (eg; ICT, functional test, etc.).
      � Work with Supply Base Management and Engineering to evaluate and qualify certain material suppliers where manufacturing process is a key parameter.
      � Own the Manufacturing and supplier quality processes and systems. Develop and manage quality information systems.
      � Provide focal point to contract manufacturing partner(s) to resolve all manufacturing and test engineering issues or problems.
      � Manage the Product Data management process through Agile
      � Drive continuous improvement programs including; value engineering, manufacturing process improvement and yield enhancement.
      � Manage sustaining manufacturing activities such as ECO implementation, resolution of manufacturing process problems, alternative source evaluation/qualification, etc.

      Skills/Experience Required
      � Bachelors Degree in EE or equivalent experience required.
      � Masters degree in Business, EE or ME desirable.
      � 15+ years work experience in Manufacturing/Test Engineering or related disciplines for electronics products, must have strong working knowledge of SMT, PCB fabrication, final assembly and test systems.
      � Strong leadership skills with ability to formulate/drive long-term strategic direction.
      � Excellent project management, communication, mentoring and teamwork skills
      � In-depth knowledge and demonstrated success in implementing DFX programs.
      � Ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environment.
