Auctiva Corporation provides software to assist businesses and individuals in the creation, management and marketing of online storefronts, as well as automating the process of selling on eBay. Auctiva is currently seeking a Development Manager to lead a team of 4-5 developers on both new and existing projects. This is a hands-on team leadership role where you will be expected to lead by example in the development of commercial, consumer-oriented web applications and back-end web services.
Successful candidates should be highly motivated, have a lot of initiative, and be able to meet the ongoing demands of the company in a fast paced development environment. Must have the ability to motivate and demonstrate technical leadership while also being a part of the actual coding and development process.
You will be responsible for designing and developing significant new functionality as well as helping to maintain the existing websites and windows services. In managing a team of engineers, you will be expected to assign tasks and be able to establish priorities, do code reviews, and provide guidance to junior software engineers.
� BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
� 10+ years of programming experience with at least 6+ years of development with Microsoft Windows and object oriented design
� 5+ years of C# programming
� 5+ years of web application development using Microsoft .NET
� Experience developing web services using WCF and .NET 3.5.1.
� Must be very technical and able to manage complex technical projects
� Skilled in the software development life cycle, relational database design and SQL Server 2000/2005 programming using stored procedures
� Demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills
