I feel like a dummy but it was the battery. I'm used to completely dead batteries or weakened batteries that give some warning with obviously difficult starts.

I had the same symptoms, cleaned the terminals, jumped the battery, mowed and was able to restart. However a week later I had to jumpstart again, mowed lawn,

L110 NO START ELECTRICAL PROBLEM

I've had no previous electrical problems with my L110 but today it would not crank. When I turned the key all that I heard is that dreaded weak clicking sound.

You can get them through JD parts there are 2 different ones depending on serial number. You may want to check the PTO bearings, they usually damage the
