23689Re: [Janshakti] LANDMARKS OF SCIENCE IN ANCIENT INDIA [Do Not Miss] [1 Attachment]
- Sep 29, 2013Dear Sir,Very good information. I am attaching a presentation titled 'Gift of India to the World' that was received few years back on the Internet itself. It covers most of the scientific inventions and uses existent in Bhaarat since ancient times. It also corroborates the pdf file attached to your e-mail.In addition as you must be aware in 19th century, one of our शंकराचार्य had compiled some १६ mathematical सूत्र found by him spread in the Vedas. These sixteen सूत्र have shown quick and simple ways for multiplication and division of large numbers. This collection is known as वैदिक गणित. Currently quite a few persons are spreading their use all over Bhaarat privately. But Government has not considered it fit to include the topic for our students as yet. This topic is seen to have been included in UK schools text books in their 8th and 9th standards at present. M/S बनारसीदास from वाराणसी has published a book in early fifties covering these सूत्र under title of 'Vedic Mathematics'.With regards,------Mukund Apte .
