  • you might check to make sure you have your soundcard mixer set to the USB CODEX as well and levels set properly.

  • Using a 703+ here and no problems with the signalink. Check pages 67 thru 70 of the manual.Make sure you have the TX gain on the signalink high enough as well with just a bar or two showing on the ALC no more. Hal K6RF

  • I find I have become addicted to running the lowest power I can on JT9. What was my limit at 5 watts now as become to no more than 3 watts and favoring 1 or .5 watts the most. I don't suffer any less contacts either. Working the grayline has produced some really amazing contacts with this low power and JT9.

  • Hi Dan, well first let me say my knowledge of 160m is limited to 5 cw contacts in the last 52 years. I never really developed an interest in 160. Perhaps that kind of power on a digital mode on 160m is the norm there. It is just the first I have heard of that kind of power being used on JT9 on any band especially seeing what happens on the higher frequencies when a high power...
