  • Does anyone routinely or ever use JT9 on 30 meters? Scott KN3A

  • Ed - yes, you are one from the early days of JT9. I totally agree with all the comments you made about it. I too found for a long time that 20 and 30 meters seemed to be the only two bands that JT9 was really used, but thankfully that has expanded to all the bands too. Ron (VA7HZ) and I both had started the JT65digitalhams Yahoo group and it grew by leaps and bounds, still a very...

  • I really enjoy 160 meters and always looking for JT65 and JT9 QSO's on top band. However, it seems that very few participate on the band. There has to be more than the same group of us with an antenna for it. I am space limited myself and have a total of 120 ft. wire in the shape of an Inverted L. It works great and is good for those with limited space yards. Hope to see some new...

  • Hi Rob, Welcome to JT9! I think you'll enjoy it a lot especially if you already had been using JT65. What program are you using for JT9 operations? Are you using the WSJT-X that you can view JT9 and JT65? Please feel free to post any questions you may have. There's a great group of people here willing to help and offer suggestions. I'm usually parked on 20 meters so I will be...

  • Is anyone using the beta WSJT-X v1.1, r3487? I actually really like having the choice of JT65a or JT9 and not have to switch back and forth for different software programs. Joe has done a great job integrating both modes together. And, Laurie has done a nice job configuring JT-Alerts with it. I'm just curious who is using the program and what your thoughts are.
