  • This is an often reported problem. Notice that the frequencies are separated by 120Hz. There is some powerline hum getting into the audio stream somewhere. Someone needs to improve their bonding/grounding. Hard to tell if it is on the TX end or the RX end. If you see this on a regular basis, it is probably on your end. The main signal is at -7 dB with the others being down by 18db...

  • David, If you look at §97.119, you will see that station ID is permitted by RTTY using a specified digital code. If you look at §97.309, the lines between RTTY and data emission becomes blurred. Any data emission protocol is legal as long as the technical details are documented publicly and the intent is not to obscure the content of the transmission. (There is the little "detail...

  • This usually happens when a signal is very strong, +15dB or more. Usually one of the signals is strong and the others are down by 20-30 dB. It can be caused by the transmitted signal being overdriven or by your receiver audio may be overdriven. Grounding problems can result in these spurious signals being spaced at 60Hz (or 50 Hz for overseas). 73, Jim – N4ST From: JT9digitalhams...

  • Just making sure...but if you have FT2000 selected in WSJT-X, you can not have another program running that also has CAT control. Only one program can have CAT directly to the rig enabled. ---In JT9digitalhams@^$1, wrote: Intereting. Well I ahve the correct rig selected, FT2000 and the correct parameters set. • I believe that will map JT9 QSOs to be logged as JT65 QSOs on LoTW. The JT9 problem/omission was fixed at least 4 months ago.
