Hi, IMHO you need a SSB rig. I have been using a KX3 for 2 years while working in FO islands. It works fine, although there is some drift. No more noticeable

Hi Scot, the ICOM IC-703 works fine with the JT-Modes. What is needed especially for JT9 is the TCXO for QRG-stability, it was by default already built in.
