The one positive memory I have of Snow is the Stanley Cup playoffs the year
Detroit beat Philly. Being that the Wings are my 2nd favorite team I
remember hoping that Hextall and not Snow would be the Game 1 Stanley Cup
starter. Snow had won 8 of the 12 playoff games up until then and I knew
Hextall would choke in the Cup Final. Hextall gave up a 50 footer in the 1st
pd that set the tone for the series and the Flyers lost two 1-goal games
because of softies given up by Hextall. Who knows if they would have given
Garth Snow a fair chance maybe the Flyers would have won the Cup that year.
They certainly would have made it closer.
I would imagine the Isles now with their very own affiliate in the
AHL would want 5 goalies. You would think you would want either a 3rd goalie
for the minors or the team in case of injuries. I guess you could send
Valiquette to Trenton of the ECHL or they could decide that David St.Germain
is ready for the AHL, I don't know.

The big question:
Forgetting his traveled history. Did the Isles get a backup
someone Pittsburgh did not want to trust with their playoff
goaltending spot ? Other than a cheap upgrade on Terreri,
been sitting around for years, did the Isles really fill a
