New Year's resolutions for each NHL team

It is now 2005, and although there is no NHL hockey being played at
the moment, I thought it would be fun to conjure up some New Year's
resolutions for each NHL team:
The Mighty Ducks resolve to: prop up Jean-Sebastien Giguere's sagging
The Atlanta Thrashers resolve to: encourage Ilya Kovalchuk to play
without the puck, too.
The Boston Bruins resolve to: direct their forwards to shoot more
The Buffalo Sabres resolve to: let Thomas Vanek and Derek Roy play
The Calgary Flames resolve to: obtain a forward to play alongside
The Carolina Hurricanes resolve to: improve their putrid 10.6%
efficient power play.
The Chicago Blackhawks resolve to: ban their players from bars and
The Colorado Avalanche resolve to: convince Peter Forsberg to return
to the NHL.
The Columbus Blue Jackets resolve to: insist someone other than Rick
The Dallas Stars resolve to: encourage Jason Arnott to play harder in
The Detroit Red Wings resolve to: locate Nicklas Lidstrom, circa 1999-
The Edmonton Oilers resolve to: increase Shawn Horcoff's playing
The Florida Panthers resolve to: decrease the number of shots allowed
The Los Angeles Kings resolve to: delve into preventative medicine.
