this week on charges of assault against two attendants Aug. 9 at a

until Sept. 13. If convicted, the misdemeanor charge carries a

The story is about a week old. I did know about it back when it
happened, but it's really a non-hockey story, so I did not post the
articles here. In short there are two versions. Someone asked Nystrom
to move his car as he stopped in for gas upstate, he refused, words
were exchanged and Nystrom threw punches, another says Nystrom's car
was dented in some way before he got out and threw punches. The rest
is hype in Hockey Headlines that gives little more than that.
The Isles have had no comment at all. The only hockey part of the
story is, if he were found guilty and went to jail, it would likely
mean the end of his job with the organization because he is
considered a team executive.
What's kind of sad is how it's on so many hockey websites, it
really has nothing to do with hockey. I hope he is not guilty, but if
he did these things, he used poor judgement. I guess either way we
will keep hearing updates.
