        The Oates deal is the real thing and a very good deal for Anaheim
        because it's the best center they may have even had for Kariya.

        The other two deals are jokes so the rich can get compensatory
        picks later on. If the league had a clue they would make them do
        these deals no later than three weeks before July 1st so a team like
        Edmonton might just creative and deal Richter themselves to another
        team.

        Of course the league gives the rich teams every out possible.
