  • Re: Running rigging back to the cockpit

Scott, Thanks for your input. I have a bad habit of researching stuff to death. Plus I owed a wine label printing company for 30 years and spent my days

Dennis, I agree with Darrin tons of pictures so do some digging. For Magnus and any other boat for that matter, it's just a matter of starting in the front

  • stuffing box access

I have uploaded some photos of the stuffing box access on Red Rover. The access is through two openings in the cabin floor between the shower bulkhead mirror

Group Description

This group will be used for an idea exchange, sailing travels, and general information on the experiences of maintenance and refitting of the Islander Freeport 41.
It can also be used as a listing of IF41's for sale.
Not to take away from but to add to the Fogers IF36 & 38 site this group will be almost exclusively the IF41 as it is also special in it's own way. And for those of us that are commited to keeping this model of sailboat alive we look for input.
Please go to photos and start an album then add pictures your boat, any under sail, on the hook, and refitting before and after, and maybe a group shot your IF41 being the star!
It can also be used as a listing of IF41's for sale.
In addition we have a vendor database, a IF41 database, and other materials will be added as input is provided.
From the bow sprit to the rudder we need your work thru and around and especially posting of photos. Yes, on this site you may even buy and sell if your ideas are available for sale.

Another site that has been used is www.islandersailboats.com and this is a good resource but we will be only IF41's and the threads should identify your boat with IF41 and then Hull ID then request.
Let's make it simple to find threads yet detailed in solutions. Any drawings, photos good or bad need to be posted. Ask any questions you like because we all need to learn how to make refitting FUN!!!
