      TULLA GAEL's DEATH

      Mr. P. Rogers

The death of Mr. Paddy Rogers, at the early age of 27 years caused deep
regret in the Tulla area last week, and above all among the Gaels, with whom he was
general favourite. His passing in the prime of manhood is particularly sad.
Son of the famous John Rogers, of 1914 fame, Paddy was also an able exponent
with caman, and up to a few years ago was one of the leading hurlers in the
      parish.

At his funeral on Sunday last, which was one of the largest in Tulla for
years, a Guard of Honour of former hurling pals accompanied the funeral including
many followers of the game and a big representation of neighbours and friends.
May his soul rest in peace.
