Between eight and nine o'Clock on Saturday Night, Captain Waring's
House in Henry-street, was robbed of eight Silver Table Spoons, by a
Villain, who got into the Area and raised up the Kitchen Window where they
Alderman Edward Sankey is appointed Superintendent of the Coal Yards
established by Act of Parliament, in this City, in the room of Sir Timothy
Allen, who hath resigned.
In the Evening, one Kelly, a Butcher, was killed by some Villains near
Aug. 31st. At Night the Right Hon. Nathaniel Clements, Miss Leigh, Mrs.
Morrison, Mess. Wakefield, Evans, Moore and the Mail arrived in the Hampden
Packet from Hollyhead.
Captain Arthur, Doctor Cormick, Mrs. Pearse, Mrs. Davis, Mess. Kelly,
Walker, Gernon, Darcy, Donovan, Brown Toole and the Mail arrived in the
Besborough Packet from Hollyhead.
MARRIAGES.] A few Days ago, Capt. Christopher Williamson, of Witchaven,
to Miss Christian, of Hawkin's-street.--Mr. Swords, an eminent Hair-Dresser
in Sycamor-Alley, to Miss Murphy of Abby-street.--Mr. Tobias Shanly, to Miss
Maria Nisbit.-- At the Quaker's Meeting-House, in Sycamore-alley, Mr. George
Bewley, late of Lazor's-hill, Timber Merchant, to Miss Mary Faile.
DEATHS.] A few Days ago, in Castle-street, Mrs. Simms.-- At Clooneymuck
in the County of Tipperary, James Wall, Esq; of Great Britain-street.-- At
Jonesborough in the Co. of Meath, Master Owen John Hillas, youngest Son of
Thos. Hillas, Esq;-- In Dolphin's-Barn, Mr. John Dickson, Tanner.-- In
Bride-street, Wm. Cooper, Esq; Counsellor at Law.-- At Bourdeux, Samuel
Head, Esq;--At Lismacul in the Co. of Tipperary, the Wife of Hugh Baker,
Esq;-- In Waterford, Mr. John Williams.-- At Drumcondra, Master Newenham,
Son of Edward Newenham, Esq; Collector of the County of Dublin-- Friday
Morning died, the Widow Flanagan of Castle-Market, a very honest industrious
Woman, much regreted by all her Acquaintance.
The Twelve-penny Houshold Loaf is to weigh 10 Pounds 4 Ounces 6 Dramchs.
The middle Price of Wheat being at 2l. 3s. 0d. the Quarter.
