Mrs Hanora Broderick Abbeyfeale
The death of Mrs Hanora Broderick, in her 87th year, removes one of
the oldest traders from Abbeyfeale and a resident who was much
respected and esteemed in west Limerick (writes our Abbeyfeale
correspondent). Mrs Broderick was proprietress of the Central Hotel
for at least a half a century and during that period she enjoyed the
confidence and patronage of the commercial and general public for the
efficient and satisfactory manner in which she conducted an extensive

respected Abbeyfeale family and the mother of Sister Theresa of the
Abbeyfeale Mercy Convent, deceased.
On Tuesday the funeral, which was of very large proportions, took
place from St Mary's Parish Church to the New Cemetery for interment.
The burial service was conducted by the Very Rev Canon Murphy P.P.:
