Ira Einhorn? Wasn't he set up as a patsy because he uncovered the truth about the sort of 'mind control' Jack is colludin g with here? Jack, how far into the claims of Shawnna and 'reality uncovered' (sic) have you looked? What's that? You HAVEN'T looked?!!

PKD, THE UNICORN AND OPERATION MIND CONTROL

      By Adam Gori g htly

In December '93 I penned a piece entitled PKD, The Unicorn and Soviet Psychotronics, which addressed--amon g other thin g s--Soviet mind control experiments utilizin g technolo g ies discovered by Serbian inventor Nikola Tesla around the turn of the century.

PKD, of course, was Philip K. Dick, the late g reat speculative fiction novelist, who believed many stran g e thin g s had happened to his head durin g the seventies, one such event bein g an alien invasion with just this type of Tesla technolo g y. Phil later came to believe this Soviet mind control experiment upon his temporal lobe had developed into somethin g far more stran g er (if that was at all possible) when an alien entity consistin g of pure information skyjacked these psychotronically produced Soviet projections, usin g them to beam extraterrestrial messa g es of a benevolent nature into Phil's oft befuddled mind.

"The Unicorn"--as he was known to friends and fellow researchers--was none other than Ira Einhorn, a prominent fi g ure in the New A g e Counterculture of the late sixties and seventies. Phil and Ira became acquainted throu g h the auspices of CoEvolution Quarterly, later renamed The Whole Earth Review, a by-product of former Merry Prankster Stewart Brand's revolutionary brainchild, The Whole Earth Catalo g . Within the letter section of CoEvolution Quarterly, Dick and Einhorn initiated a dialo g ue on Soviet psychotronics & mind control, and it's far reachin g implications. Shortly afterwards, Einhorn's g irlfriend and fellow researcher, Holly Maddux's dismembered body parts were discovered in a steamer trunk in Einhorn's Philadelphia apartment, and Einhorn char g ed with her murder.

      In
PKD, The Unicorn and Soviet Psychotronics I presented what at that time was nothin g more than a visceral theory which posited that Einhorn mi g ht've been set up to take the rap of Holly's murder to silence him at a juncture when he was brin g in g to the forefront Tesla's hidden technolo g ies, and the profound impact these technolo g ies would have upon humankind if they were to ever become widely known. Now, just recently, an affirmation of my g ut feelin g /theory has been seconded by Walter Bowart in a revised and updated edition of his classic Operation Mind Control( OMC), recently reissued by Flatland.

In Chapter 29: Invisible Warfare, Bowart discusses areas of mind control that--at the time of the first printin g of OMC in the late seventies--were just be g innin g to come to the attention of cryptocracy/conspiracy researchers. A more advanced technolo g y of mind control--accordin g to Bowart--had taken the place of such traditional covert modus operandi as mind alterin g dru g s and hypnosis, supplantin g them with the insidious use of various psychotronic technolo g ies such as ELF waves, microwaves and other forms of electroma g netic manipulation, whereby waves tuned to a certain frequency could induce a subject to become more prone to auto-su g g estion, and perhaps even induce depressive or overly a g g ressive ASC's. (Some of these weapons have been referred to as Non-Lethal in recent military literature.) Besides affectin g the human mind and body, some have su g g ested, certain forms of electroma g netic waves could also effect weather patterns from g reat distances.

One of the chief proponents in exposin g the use of these covert technolo g ies is Lt. Colonel Thomas Beardon, USAF(Ret.), a close friend and former associate of the aforementioned "Unicorn". A former military intelli g ence officer, Beardon publishes Specula, a ma g azine devoted to "psychotronics" and "bio-ener g etics". In the mid ei g hties, Bill Jenkins hosted a radio pro g ram on AM KFI in Los An g eles which on a weekly basis dealt with subjects of the paranormal. The first time I tuned into Jenkin's show his g uest was none other than Col. Beardon, who spoke of a mysterious "woodpecker" si g nal, which durin g that era had become quite the hot topic amon g ham operators around the world. The so-called "woodpecker" si g nal could be replicated by tappin g a pencil on a table between ei g ht and fourteen times each second. Beardon claimed this si g nal emanated from the Soviet Union and had been traced to an alle g ed "Tesla Generator" in the cities of Ri g a and Gomel , and that the "woodpecker" si g nal was responsible for weather modification wars covertly wa g ed upon an unsuspectin g United States citizenry by the wily and unscrupulous Russians. These manipulations of U.S. weather patterns created a drou g ht in the western states which ostensibly caused severe effects on farmin g and the economy in 1976, the same year the infamous "woodpecker" si g nal was first discovered. Such discoveries as these--shared with, and dispersed by, The Unicorn--are what many believe led to his subsequent fall from g race, when the fi g urative horn fell from his head, as he shed his Unicorn identity, sinkin g into the shadows of anonymity, to escape the dra g net of Bi g Brother.

Einhorn--prior to his arrest and subsequent fli g ht from the authorities--was what Bowart termed "a dan g erous free thinker." He'd become a one man army dedicated to information proliferation, settin g up a vast network to disseminate the cuttin g ed g e ideas promul g ated by a le g ion of new a g e physicists and researchers of whom he'd become associated, makin g available the actual blueprints of Tesla's inventions to any one who requested them, for a nominal fee. In so doin g , Einhorn created a network alon g the lines of forums now accessible on The Internet. Eventually--had he not been "Put down, smud g ed, smeared, framed" as Bowart asserts--Einhorn and his ideas would probably be reachin g a far wider audience throu g h today's computer forums than what was possible in the late seventies via snail mail. These dan g erous ideas consisted of information and desi g ns of "free ener g y machines" alon g the lines of what Tesla had invented, as well as information on the various PSYOPS to which the military and intelli g ence a g encies had been covertly applyin g these technolo g ies.

As previously stated in PKD, The Unicorn and Soviet Psychotronics, Einhorn first came to the attention of the American public as Master of Ceremonies for the first Earth Day Celebration in 1970. Over the ensuin g years, this event has unfortunately become a cooperate sponsored shadow of it's former self. Where the earlier versions were known for their radical and activist a g endas, more recent incarnations of "Earth Day" have become increasin g ly soft pedaled and watered down by the cooperate elite; like a Bur g er Kin g , for instance, who promote the use of recyclable products, while at the same time hackin g away at what's left of the Earth's rapidly diminishin g rain forests.

TAmon g his many contacts, friends and acquaintances Einhorn counted such luminaries as Michael Murphy of Esalen Institute, astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Ed g ar Mitchell, Uri Geller and Andrija Puharich, Arthur C. Clarke, Arthur Koestler, Stewart Brand, UFO authority Jacques Vallee, Steven Speilber g and Geor g e Lucas, EST founder Werner Erhard, not to mention leadin g ed g e Quantum physicists Fred Wolf and Jack Sarfatti--of whom, for both--Einhorn even served for awhile as literary a g ent.

Bein g tapped into, as he was, this so-called cuttin g ed g e pipe line of new a g e thinkers, Einhorn--because of his vast knowled g e of the latest discoveries and happenin g s in the rapidly developin g communications industries, and other technolo g ies--worked on retainer as a consultant for several lar g e corporations, amon g them AT&T.

Einhorn also served for a time as an aid to Con g ressman Charlie Rose (D-N.C.), who himself was keenly interested in Tesla's inventions, and other suppressed hi g h-tech. Elsewhere in OMC, Bowart chronicles a meetin g between Con g ressman Rose and a Canadian inventor in the late seventies who had developed a helmet--that when placed upon the head--would take it's wearer into another world, much like the VR eye g ear-unit postulated in the movie Brainstorm.

One such virtual reality scenario played out upon the wearer's of said helmet was a mock alien abduction. Con g ressman Rose put on the helmet and was run throu g h this virtual reality/alien abduction pro g ramme. Much to his amazement, the simulated scenario seemed incredibly realistic. This device sounds quite similar to Michael Persin g er's much touted "Ma g ic Helmet", which has been receivin g a fair amount of press recently. Althou g h Bowart doesn't name the inventor of the helmet, chances are it was Persin g er to whom he was referrin g . Persin g er's name has also been bandied about by mind control investi g ator, Martin Cannon--in his treatise The Controllers--as a behind the scenes player in intelli g ence operations related to MK-ULTRA. The Controllers main premise is that alien abductions are screen memories to conceal covert mind control operations employed by Intelli g ence A g encies.

Bowart g oes further to illustrate this so-called "dan g erous free thinkin g " of Einhorn's in quotin g from Sarfatti's Illuminati, which appeared on the INTERNET in '92, mentionin g Einhorn frequently within it's text..

Jack Sarfatti was a prominent member in Einhorn's inner circle of "cosmic conspiracy" allies. In Sarfatti's Illuminati, Sarfatti described a meetin g which once took place with other illuminaries of this "free thinkin g " scene in Uri Geller's hotel room. Those in attendance consisted of Sarfatti, Uri and his mentor Andrija Puharich, Brendan O'Re g an of The Stanford Research Institute, and Einhorn. At this time Sarfatti remembers startlin g "...Uri by askin g him if he could tri g g er a nuclear weapon by psychokinesis. I later found out from Ron McRae (author of Mind Wars) that some of our intelli g ence people were g reatly concerned about that possibility. I may have initiated that concern..." Later Sarfatti says:"Former naval Intelli g ence and Jack Anderson reporter Ron McRae told me that the Navy had been fooled by phony data on remote viewin g of Soviet submarines because someone had leaked the actual data to phony psychics. McRae seems to have omitted this story from his book...Barbara Hone g g er said that policy decisions on the basin g of MX missiles were made by Rea g an staff under the belief that remote-viewin g worked. Harold Chipman believed that it worked and told me that he had used it successfully in his business..."

What I find most interestin g is the interrelationship between so-called "psychic ener g y", and electroma g netics. Is the transmission of psychotronic thou g ht projections into a subject's mind via low frequency waves the same phenomenon that occurs with telepathy or telekinesis? Remote viewin g is basically astral projection; the transportation of one's spirit ener g ies throu g h time and space, and the astral body is often described as an electrical-type ener g y. In my own very brief and limited excursions into the astral plane, there was always the sensation of electrical ener g y movin g throu g h and transportin g my astral body. Do all of these phenomena derive from the same elemental force; an unseen ener g y that can manifest within various frequencies and spectrums?

The shaman uses his astral body to heal the sick. Conversely, the psychic spook uses these powers to spy on the enemy. Are these currents of ener g y which Healers g enerate, the very same electroma g netic, bioma g netic or psychotronic ener g ies that nowadays can be harnessed into portable microwave weapons with uses and unlimited applications for purposes g ood or ill?

As a writer & researcher directin g his ener g ies into the areas of UFO's, conspiracies and paranormal phenomena, I receive a lot of hi g h weirdness by mail. Some solicited; others transmor g ifyin g from The Great Beyond. (The Truth is Out There.) One curious item I received via US mail was an advertisement for a Remote Viewin g seminar, which I found out later had been sponsored by some ex-military type spook. And why was I chosen to receive this remote-viewin g mailer? To this, I've arrived at a couple crank theories. 1) They g ot my name from some other frin g e mailin g list, or 2) They somehow discovered--that sometime in the past--I'd personally experienced astral projection, thereby makin g me a prime candidate to attend these sessions, as I could be used later & covertly as a remote-viewin g intelli g ence asset.

Aside from friends and fellow researchers--with whom I'd shared my astral projection experiences--these astral rantin g s of mine were also sent to the shadowy cast of characters who ran a short-lived Paranormal/UFO ma g azine. The editor of said ma g wrote me requestin g a look at some of my UFO-related writin g s, so I sent him various stuff, naively thinkin g that I mi g ht one day see my by-line blazoned g loriously upon it's slick and g lossy cover. Curiously enou g h, this ma g azine folded around the same time that they were also initiatin g this spurious contact with me, thereby arousin g my suspicion that the main ulterior motive for their communique was to g ather intelli g ence on yours truly, for sinister aims unknown. Of course, this may purely be my own private paranoia rearin g it's overly-inventive head. Nonetheless, at least one writer for this short-lived and lar g ely circulated ma g azine, was an admitted disinformationalist with alle g ed ties to the intelli g ence community. (Not to mention it's publisher, who is probably one of the more bizarre fi g ures in the history of the medium, whom other researchers have claimed is himself an unfortunate victim of mind control.)

Some have su g g ested (such as John Jud g e and David Emory) that the Alien Abduction phenomenon sweepin g these United States--and the planet as a whole--are in essence mind control matrixes used by intelli g ence or g anizations for various means, one bein g a method for creatin g mind controlled assassins alon g the lines of John Hinkley, Jr., or Sirhan Sirhan.

Bowart finds these theories quite plausible, and throu g hout OMC cites several specific instances where the Alien Abduction Phenomenon and/or The Satanic Ritual Abuse Syndrome were used as vehicles to facilitate Mind Control pro g rammes upon unwittin g subjects.

In the late seventies, one such incident of hypnotic re g ression centered around a small alien costume, much like the one used in Speilber g 's ET, filmed a few years afterwards. The eyewitness account of this hypnotically re g ressed subject claimed to have seen a youn g child dressed in this outfit, portrayin g an alien as part of a mind pro g rammin g scenario. (A recent episode of the X-Files also used this theme.) None of this, of course, dismisses outri g ht the UFO phenomenon; nor does it mean we have not been visited by EBE's. Nevertheless, it's implications are sta g g erin g when one considers the impact and subsequent commercialization of the Alien Abduction Phenomenon, and how it has challen g ed and reshaped the belief systems and psyches of millions upon millions of the planet's inhabitants, in essence creatin g a new paradi g m that prior to thirty years a g o was virtually non-existent.

In his audiotape series UFO Phenomenon and ET Myth David Emory listed--in reference to Whitley Strieber and ET Contact--a number thin g s, that we as humans, need to be wary of: "...One, bein g mind control. Somebody could be placed under hypnosis, and have somebody come in with a suit. Or the other is holo g rams; holo g raphic projections. And also, g enetic en g ineerin g , and also the use of those thin g s in combination with each other in terms of actual contact with ET's--real or ima g ined--and as far as the phenomenon itself: If real flyin g saucers come down, people are g oin g to be ready to believe in somethin g from outer space...There's so many thin g s in the possession of humans at this time which could be used to simulate that phenomenon...The Whitley Strieber material could be the result of mind control, or the applications of any one of those thin g s."

When Emory refers to real flyin g saucers comin g down, he means man-made terrestrial craft, owned and operated by Bi g Brother/Uncle Sam. Alle g edly, these are very same saucers the Nazi's had developed towards the end of World War 2, that were amon g the hidden technolo g ies snuck into the g ood 'ol U.S. of A under the auspices of Project Paperclip, when such notorious Third Reichers as Spymaster Reinhard Gehlen, and Rocket-Boy Werner von Braun--amon g scores of others--were g iven asylum in exchan g e for wartime secrets. With them as well came much useful information in the areas of mind control, rocketry and chemical warfare, which at that time were state of the art in the hands of former Nazi Scientists.I would also at this time like to add my own two bits to Emory's comments: That the idea of holo g raphic projections--in the creation of a mind control hoax--is a scenario I find most compellin g , as time g oes by. Like Phil Dick ponderin g VALIS, I've spent many a wee hour contemplatin g the ultimate meanin g of my own UFO encounter; and the idea of holo g raphic projections used in combination with a powerful mind alterin g chemical like LSD--orchestrated under the direction of some MK Ultra/MIB task force--is certainly somethin g I can buy into. (But like Phil Dick, I'll probably wake up at 3 AM, and come up with another theory that will work equally well, replacin g my current thesis of hallucino g enic/holo g raphic mind manipulation with perhaps somethin g tenfold bizarre.

Thou g h at times some of Bowart's claims in OMC seem to border on the outlandish, and push the envelope of credulity (such as Bob Hope's role as a covert controller of a hypnotically pro g rammed Candy Jones-type courier & sex slave) the observations he makes re g ardin g the ET Phenomenon rin g true to this observer, runnin g parallel to certain theories presented by the hi g hly respected UFO researcher Jacques Vallee, namely Vallee's Messen g er of Deception Hypothesis. One aspect of Vallee's theory postulates that intelli g ence a g ents, secret societies and reli g ious cults (or a combination of all three) are behind the UFO phenomenon, orchestratin g abductions and manipulatin g the reality as erroneously perceived by UFO percipients and other assorted dupes and self proclaimed authorities alike, who inhabit the U-fool-olo g y Community (as Jim "Saucer Smear" Moseley calls it.)

In the conclusion of his 1990 book, Revelations, Vallee felt compelled to quote Phil Dick, whom he seems to re g ard as a prime example of someone cau g ht in the confusin g conundrum of Extraterrestrial Contact: "I will never really know what did in fact happen. Some livin g , hi g hly intelli g ent entity manifested itself inside me and around me, but what it was, what it's purpose was, where it came from--I have tried a thousand theories, and all work equally well, but at the same time each theory leaves some data unexplained...and I know this is not g oin g to chan g e. I have the impression that a master g ameplayer and ma g ician and trickster is involved."

It was my pet theory, presented in the earlier article, that Phil Dick had--somewhere alon g the line--been the unwittin g recipient of a brain implant, and that this brain implant was used as a receptor for the Zebra/VALIS transmissions.Admittedly, I didn't have much to base this assumption on except for my own somewhat limited knowled g e of those 'wavies' who've claimed victimization via similar mind control implants. (I later discovered, in an interview with Gre g Rickman, Phil had stated he suspected a brain implant had been placed in his head, and that the Xerox Missive was supposedly a tri g g er to set off the implant, but failed. For more on this see PKD:THE LAST TESTAMENT by Gre g Rickman.) Actin g upon my presumption that psychotronic mind control could be enacted only upon brain implanted subjects, I followed my theory (vis-a-vis Phil Dick & VALIS) to a somewhat erroneous conclusion, at least as far as the necessity of inter-cranial implants are concerned.

Now--accordin g to Bowart's OMC --there are numerous sources, which he cites in abundance, that provide overwhelmin g documentation that the practitioners of mind control technolo g y don't necessarily require remote-controlled implants embedded in their subjects to enable the beamin g of missives and other forms of mental harassment and psycholo g ical torture, such as intense feelin g s of anxiety and the inducement of trance states which en g ender the receiver to post hypnotic su g g estion, for example. The human brain itself appears to be a suitable receptor. Much in the same fashion that telepathy would be received, so presumably can the electroma g netic projections of psychotronic en g ineers, albeit unwillin g ly on the part of the tar g eted victims.

At the end of Chapter 28 of OMC, Bowart makes his one and only reference to PKD, while commentin g upon the best sellin g books of the so-called Cyberpunk literary movement. (Many consider Dick, alon g with William S. Burrou g hs, the precursors of Cyberpunk fiction.) Bowart claims that "Cyberpunk" writers such as William Gibson, Bruce Sterlin g and others "romanticize a cybernetic reality." Havin g read Neuromancer, and a few other titles, I don't necessarily pick up the same sense of romanticism as does Bowart. From the small amount of Cyberpunk fiction I have read, I think these authors are doin g what all g ood science fiction writers throu g h the decades have attempted; to send out red flares to this and future g enerations, alertin g us to the potential pitfalls that can arise from the misuse of science and technolo g y, and it's possible deleterious effects upon human free will. Bowart mentions PKD in brief, focusin g on Dick's autobio g raphical novel, VALIS, describin g it as a "hi g hly literate description of the thin g s the "survivors" of the so-called MTS are describin g ." (Elsewhere in OMC, Bowart provides documentation on the Mental Telepathy System (MTS), a CIA sponsored mind control experiment revolvin g around the use of psychotronics.) Bowart then proceeds to quote Dick from VALIS on this phenomenon: "...A perturbation in the reality field in which a spontaneous self-monitorin g ne g entropic vortex is formed, tendin g pro g ressively to subsume and incorporate its environment into arran g ements of information. Characterized by quasi-consciousness, purpose, intelli g ence, g rowth and an armillary coherence..."

In an excerpt from his newsletter MK Quarterly, self proclaimed mind control victim Bernie Nelson relates his own ominous tale, which sounds resoundin g ly familiar to the countless other stories of alle g ed mind control victims found in Bowart's OMC, and other related publications such as Cannon's The Controllers.

While Bernie's brain was bein g butt-fucked by malevolent psychotronic beams to the ver g e of insanity in a hotel room in Austin TX, a mysterious voice in his head told him that one of the "Chica g o 8" (Abbie Hoffman) was likewise bein g bombarded ala MK-ULTRA with the same sort of technolo g y aimed at drivin g the late Mr. Hoffman over the ed g e, which is apparently what very well mi g ht've happened when dear departed Abbie alle g edly committed suicide by swallowin g 150 phenobarbital capsules, washin g them down with alcohol. By doin g himself in, perhaps this was Abbie's way of refusin g to be controlled. Or, on the other hand, maybe this was the reason Abbie was bein g psychotronically harassed in the first place; i.e. to g et rid of him 'cause he'd become a pain in the arse to the Establishment.

After emer g in g from the under g round in the early ei g hties and surrenderin g himself to the lon g arm of the law, Abbie soon found himself once a g ain in the thick of radical/activist causes, protestin g with Amy Carter the on-campus recruitment at Columbia U. of prospective CIA employees. This case was taken all the way to the Supreme Court, where Hoffman, Carter et al. won a rulin g in their case.

Abbie's last g reat cause was his war on "The War on Dru g s" with his controversial book Steal This Urine Test in which he took to task the hypocritical stance of Herr Rea g an and Bush and their phony "War", as all the while the likes of Ollie North turned a blind eye to the ille g al transportation of weapons and dru g s g oin g back and forth between the United States and Nicara g ua in planes piloted by a seamy under g round network of U.S. affiliated ro g ue spooks and soldiers of fortune.

Some friends of Abbie say manic depression led to his suicide, while others say this was bullshit and that Abbie was another in a lon g line of political assassinations which has marred this country with it's dark bloody stain for several decades now.

With Abbie's passin g from the earthly plane, The Chica g o 8 instantaneously became the Chica g o 7. Now, with Jerry's Rubin's recent unfortunate and curious separation of the mortal coil--bein g run down by a car in L.A. --it's now the Chica g o 6 , and g oin g fast.

Some contend (amon g them the brilliant conspiracy theorist and equally dead--by mysterious means--Mae Brussell) that Jerry and Abbie were a g ent provacatuers workin g hand in g love with the American Intelli g ence Community to infiltrate and subvert the counterculture movement of the late g reat sixties. ("Never trust anybody over thirty," Jerry Rubin once proclaimed. He just happened to be over 30 when he uttered that famous pronouncement.) If not for Rubin and Hoffman performin g their function as leaders of the YIPPIES in or g anizin g the protest of the 1968 Democratic National Convention, could perhaps The Chica g o riots been averted and the Democratic Party not have been sti g matized by the ne g ative press resultin g from the g estapo-like tactics of Mayor Daley and his brownshirts in the streets of Chica g o? Furthermore, if the sie g e of Chica g o hadn't g one down, mi g ht Tricky Dick have lost the '68 Presidential Race, and with a Democratic administration in place then would we have seen a quicker resolution to the war in Vietnam ? Obviously, these are questions that can never be fully answered unless one finds a passa g eway into a parallel world where bad thin g s like the offin g of the Brothers Kennedy never happened; or a better world where Vietnam never escalated into horrific proportions, in addition to becomin g the trainin g g round for a new g eneration of mind controlled assassins, as Bowart contends in Chapter 2 of OMC: Only One Mind For My Country, which tells the story of a lad usin g the alias of David.

David, thou g h he didn't serve in Vietnam , enlisted in the military in 1969 and was recruited by Air Force Intelli g ence. After David returned from duty, his time spent in the military as a warehouseman seemed almost a dream. David served not only in California , North Dakota , but also Guam , yet it all seemed like a hazy blur to him, and there was much "missin g time" he could not account for.

Eventually David went to a psychiatrist to unlock these hidden memories, which were causin g him extreme psycholo g ical and emotional distress. The discoveries David's psychiatrist unearthed were mind blowin g and revelatory, revealin g that David had become a Manchurian Candidate victim of mind control, the effects of which he is still recoverin g from to this day. This aspect of "missin g time" (a phrase coined by Budd Hopkins in re g ards to ET's) once a g ain brin g s us back to Alien Abductions, where missin g time is a recurrin g theme, as it is in so-called Satanic Ritual Abuse. What Bowart discovered in his research was that these various phenomena (alien abductions, ritual abuse, or even somethin g more mundane like performin g the duties of an airforce warehouseman) were simply cover stories for what was really g oin g on deep down in the psyche of mind control victims. The mind controlled Psyche--like a onion--needs to be peeled back layer by layer until finally the depro g rammer is able to arrive at the real story of what has taken place within the scarred minds of these purported MK-ULTRA victims. And--as the psychiatrists who have been involved in this work have shared with Bowart--this is no easy process. It may, in fact, take several years of therapy--with a sin g le patient--of peelin g back all these mental layers and, in some cases, but not all, finally discoverin g the exact and well-hidden tri g g ers that open up the various doors upon doors within their minds, at last leadin g to the hidden truth. Sometimes, this is a dan g erous proposition, indeed; for not only the patient, who if g iven the wron g tri g g er mi g ht be pro g rammed to self-destruct; but for the therapists as well, who have found many of their lives threatened by unlockin g secrets that, more often than not, lead back to American Intelli g ence or ro g ue a g ents and other spooky mind controllers--includin g cults with intelli g ence connections--who are involved in this vast conspiracy of mind control, referred to by those in the know as Operation Monarch.

In retrospect, I believe Jerry Rubin probably was an a g ent provacatuer, thou g h I have my doubts about Abbie bein g a provacatuer; at least a wittin g one. It's also worth notin g that Abbie and Ira Einhorn were revolutionary pals before Abbie went under g round due to a coke stin g in the early seventies, ostensibly set up by Government Narcs. Around the time Abbie emer g ed from the under g round, The Unicorn had be g an his own nefarious descent into the nether re g ions of safe houses, for g ed passports and funky dis g uises, submer g in g into a life on the lam. It never ceases to amaze this reporter, when you look at some of the most influential fi g ures of the sixties--those who really did the most to shape, influence and inspire the "

"The Unicorn"--as he was known to friends and fellow researchers- -was none other than Ira Einhorn, a prominent fi g ure in the New A g e Counterculture of the late sixties and seventies.

In Chapter 29: Invisible Warfare, Bowart discusses areas of mind control that--at the time of the first printin g of OMC in the late seventies--were just be g innin g to come to the attention of cryptocracy/ conspiracy researchers.

Einhorn--prior to his arrest and subsequent fli g ht from the authorities- -was what Bowart termed "a dan g erous free thinker." He'd become a one man army dedicated to information proliferation, settin g up a vast network to disseminate the cuttin g ed g e ideas promul g ated by a le g ion of new a g e physicists and researchers of whom he'd become associated, makin g available the actual blueprints of Tesla's inventions to any one who requested them, for a nominal fee. In so doin g , Einhorn created a network alon g the lines of forums now accessible on The Internet. Eventually-- had he not been "Put down, smud g ed, smeared, framed" as Bowart asserts--Einhorn and his ideas would probably be reachin g a far wider audience throu g h today's computer forums than what was possible in the late seventies via snail mail.

Persin g er's name has also been bandied about by mind control investi g ator, Martin Cannon--in his treatise The Controllers- -as a behind the scenes player in intelli g ence operations related to MK-ULTRA.

1) They g ot my name from some other frin g e mailin g list, or 2) They somehow discovered-- that sometime in the past--I'd personally experienced astral projection, thereby makin g me a prime candidate to attend these sessions, as I could be used later & covertly as a remote-viewin g intelli g ence asset.

Aside from friends and fellow researchers- -with whom I'd shared my astral projection experiences- -these astral rantin g s of mine were also sent to the shadowy cast of characters who ran a short-lived Paranormal/UFO ma g azine.

And also, g enetic en g ineerin g , and also the use of those thin g s in combination with each other in terms of actual contact with ET's--real or ima g ined--and as far as the phenomenon itself: If real flyin g saucers come down, people are g oin g to be ready to believe in somethin g from outer space...There' s so many thin g s in the possession of humans at this time which could be used to simulate that phenomenon.. .The Whitley Strieber material could be the result of mind control, or the applications of any one of those thin g s."

With them as well came much useful information in the areas of mind control, rocketry and chemical warfare, which at that time were state of the art in the hands of former Nazi Scientists.I would also at this time like to add my own two bits to Emory's comments: That the idea of holo g raphic projections- -in the creation of a mind control hoax--is a scenario I find most compellin g , as time g oes by.

Some livin g , hi g hly intelli g ent entity manifested itself inside me and around me, but what it was, what it's purpose was, where it came from--I have tried a thousand theories, and all work equally well, but at the same time each theory leaves some data unexplained. ..and I know this is not g oin g to chan g e. I have the impression that a master g ameplayer and ma g ician and trickster is involved."

It was my pet theory, presented in the earlier article, that Phil Dick had--somewhere alon g the line--been the unwittin g recipient of a brain implant, and that this brain implant was used as a receptor for the Zebra/VALIS transmissions. Admittedly, I didn't have much to base this assumption on except for my own somewhat limited knowled g e of those 'wavies' who've claimed victimization via similar mind control implants.

Bowart mentions PKD in brief, focusin g on Dick's autobio g raphical novel, VALIS, describin g it as a "hi g hly literate description of the thin g s the "survivors" of the so-called MTS are describin g ." (Elsewhere in OMC, Bowart provides documentation on the Mental Telepathy System (MTS), a CIA sponsored mind control experiment revolvin g around the use of psychotronics. ) Bowart then proceeds to quote Dick from VALIS on this phenomenon: "...A perturbation in the reality field in which a spontaneous self-monitorin g ne g entropic vortex is formed, tendin g pro g ressively to subsume and incorporate its environment into arran g ements of information. Characterized by quasi-consciousness , purpose, intelli g ence, g rowth and an armillary coherence..."

He just happened to be over 30 when he uttered that famous pronouncement. ) If not for Rubin and Hoffman performin g their function as leaders of the YIPPIES in or g anizin g the protest of the 1968 Democratic National Convention, could perhaps The Chica g o riots been averted and the Democratic Party not have been sti g matized by the ne g ative press resultin g from the g estapo-like tactics of Mayor Daley and his brownshirts in the streets of Chica g o?

Sometimes, this is a dan g erous proposition, indeed; for not only the patient, who if g iven the wron g tri g g er mi g ht be pro g rammed to self-destruct; but for the therapists as well, who have found many of their lives threatened by unlockin g secrets that, more often than not, lead back to American Intelli g ence or ro g ue a g ents and other spooky mind controllers- -includin g cults with intelli g ence connections- -who are involved in this vast conspiracy of mind control, referred to by those in the know as Operation Monarch.

It never ceases to amaze this reporter, when you look at some of the most influential fi g ures of the sixties--those who really did the most to shape, influence and inspire the "peace and love" g eneration--that most of them are now dead and buried, or missin g in action like Ira "The Unicorn" Einhorn. Abbie & Jerry, case in point. The Kennedy's, blasted by blood splatterin g bullets to their respective brains. Martin Luther Kin g , Malcolm X, and the most important members of the Black Panther Party all g one, kaput, mortalities of COINTELPRO. The three J's: Jim, Janis and Jimi--also coincidentally tar g eted by the FBI--now sin g the blues in Rock N' Roll Heaven. John Lennon pumped full of hot lead outside the Dakota by a mind-controlled baby faced assassin. Lenny Bruce, like dead fat Elvis, a blue bloated corpse on a bathroom floor with underwear wrapped around cold ankles. Huey Newton , shot dead over a alle g ed dru g deal g one sour. Emmet Gro g an--the main man behind the Hai g ht Ashbury Di g g ers--O.D.'d on the subway in New York . Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassady, the two most seminal influences from the Beat fifties that influenced the psychedelic sixties--dead by '69, passin g with the decade. Phil Ochs--the anti-war activist/folk sin g er and YIPPIE--found dan g lin g dead, hun g on a rope, victim of an apparent suicide. More recently Frank Zappa--a powerful and intelli g ent political voice--succumbin g to prostate cancer. Bob Marley, the voice of Rastafarianism and Jamaican Liberation, fallin g victim to brain cancer. Peter Tosh--foundin g member of The Wailers alon g with Marley--shot dead. Now Kurt Cobain--a voice of a new g eneration--performi n g the near impossible task of shootin g himself into oblivion while performin g fellatio on a shot g un. The same old pattern and questions have arisen from his tra g ic demise. The list is endless. And who has taken their places? The Black Movement is now full of political opportunists and anti-Semites like Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan. Althou g h the Kennedy's were far from perfect (what politician ever is?) who have we seen for a very lon g time within the political arena that even come close to meetin g the potential of the Brothers K? Who's the new John Lennon?

It may appear that I've swerved away from the g eneral topic at hand of mind control and psychotronics, into several tan g ential conspiracies that only tenuously intertwine and relate to one another. But it's my contention that all of these arcane theories into which I've dan g erously delved are interrelated, and are just various tentacles that lead back to the very same "Octopus" that reached out and touched Danny Consolaro, when Consolaro g ot to close to the Truth.

UFO's, Mind Control, Political Assassinations, et al. are all connected and ori g inate from the same shadowy source. "Is the American Intelli g ence Community responsible for these conspiracies! !??" you mi g ht skeptically inquire, with a perceptible ed g e to your voice. Well, to some de g ree, Yes, but that's only a small piece of the puzzle. Other world g overnments, a g encies and secret societies--whose mysterious memberships often overlap into such g roups as the Kni g hts of Malta, the P2 Lod g e and the Trilateral Commission, to name just a few--are also involved, includin g front or g anizations and ro g ue elements of intelli g ence a g encies that sometimes work autonomously or subcontract to the hi g hest bidder; whatever the weather allows. Althou g h these g roups mi g ht not have the same exact a g enda--and althou g h the various conspiracies they are propa g atin g may in actuality be competin g conspiracies --they all work to g ether (althou g h frequently oblivious of one another, or in apparent conflict--either real of perceived) to form one continuous whole that maintains an ultimate power control g roup, keepin g those select few in power who hide in the shadows pushin g the buttons and pullin g the levers, manipulatin g the events of the world--just like the mystery man behind the purple velvet curtain in the Merry old land of Oz. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

Each of these g roups taken sin g ularly do not represent the whole. In this manner all these a g encies and secret societies often overlap and intersect. The Octopus, The Conspiracy, or whatever one chooses to call It , is a synthesis of all these various and competin g conspiracies that form a unified field theory. Thou g h each and every competin g conspiracy involved may have a different set a g enda, they all eventually intersect somewhere in the belly of that g reat metaphorical Beast 666, that for want of a better name I call the Octopus, but which could also be called The One World Government, The New World Odor, or the Illuminau g hty. You can point an accusin g fin g er at such diverse entities as Wall Street Bankers, The Communist Conspiracy, CFR, The Freemasons, or British Royalty--the list g oes on and on. But pinnin g the blame on such disparate conspiratorial scape g oats as these is far too simple, for the sum is g reater than the parts. The left hand doesn't always know what the ri g ht hand is doin g . For as lon g as these competin g conspiracies do not come in conflict with those "handful of manipulative pimps" (as Dick Gre g ory likes to call them) that stand in the shadows--pullin g the strin g s of us meat puppets--then such stran g e phenomena and conspiracies as presented in this sometimes ramblin g and paranoia-fueled treatise will continue on, ad nauseum, until that faraway day when the curtain is finally drawn to reveal The Great and Powerful Oz, cowerin g in the shadows, naked and unmasked. Hopefully that day will eventually dawn.

I would like to wrap up this lon g winded and unwieldy rant with a quote from the recently published 50 Greatest Conspiracies of All Time by Vankin & Whalen. In the final chapter Vankin and Whalen conclude their collection of conspiracies with the Mother of them all: the continually perplexin g and infinitely tra g ic JFK Assassination. I present the followin g para g raph because it sums up in a few words what I've just spent several para g raphs clumsily tryin g to outline; that bein g a theory of competin g conspiracies; a thesis echoed by others, like Ishmael Reed in his book Mumbo Jumbo, and the always controversial John Jud g e.

"So who killed JFK? The CIA? Anti-Castro fanatics? The Mafia? The military? A cabal of wealthy ri g ht-win g extremists? Or were they all somehow in lea g ue? There is evidence for any of the above. And all. Perhaps there were multiple plots a g ainst Kennedy that coalesced into one g i g antic coverup with each party protectin g it's own interests but not necessarily co g nizant of it's counterparts' involvement."

I believe the above quote is only a microcosm in the macrocosm of conspiracy politics; as mind control, psychotronics, and the "War On Dru g s" are simply a few of the various weapons bein g used to wa g e war upon human free will, and the individual soverei g nty of our minds.

"The Unicorn"--as he was known to friends and fellow researchers- -was none other than Ira Einhorn, a prominent fi g ure in the New A g e Counterculture of the late sixties and seventies.

In Chapter 29: Invisible Warfare, Bowart discusses areas of mind control that--at the time of the first printin g of OMC in the late seventies--were just be g innin g to come to the attention of cryptocracy/ conspiracy researchers.

Persin g er's name has also been bandied about by mind control investi g ator, Martin Cannon--in his treatise The Controllers- -as a behind the scenes player in intelli g ence operations related to MK-ULTRA.

"The Unicorn"--as he was known to friends and fellow researchers- -was none other than Ira Einhorn, a prominent fi g ure in the New A g e Counterculture of the late sixties and seventies.

In Chapter 29: Invisible Warfare, Bowart discusses areas of mind control that--at the time of the first printin g of OMC in the late seventies--were just be g innin g to come to the attention of cryptocracy/ conspiracy researchers.

Persin g er's name has also been bandied about by mind control investi g ator, Martin Cannon--in his treatise The Controllers- -as a behind the scenes player in intelli g ence operations related to MK-ULTRA.

"The Unicorn"--as he was known to friends and fellow researchers- -was none other than Ira Einhorn, a prominent fi g ure in the New A g e Counterculture of the late sixties and seventies.

In Chapter 29: Invisible Warfare, Bowart discusses areas of mind control that--at the time of the first printin g of OMC in the late seventies--were just be g innin g to come to the attention of cryptocracy/ conspiracy researchers.

Persin g er's name has also been bandied about by mind control investi g ator, Martin Cannon--in his treatise The Controllers- -as a behind the scenes player in intelli g ence operations related to MK-ULTRA.

PKD, THE UNICORN AND OPERATION MIND CONTROL

                By Adam Gorightly

In December '93 I penned a piece entitled PKD, The Unicorn and Soviet Psychotronics, which addressed--among other things--Soviet mind control experiments utilizing technologies discovered by Serbian inventor Nikola Tesla around the turn of the century.

PKD, of course, was Philip K. Dick, the late great speculative fiction novelist, who believed many strange things had happened to his head during the seventies, one such event being an alien invasion with just this type of Tesla technology. Phil later came to believe this Soviet mind control experiment upon his temporal lobe had developed into something far more stranger (if that was at all possible) when an alien entity consisting of pure information skyjacked these psychotronically produced Soviet projections, using them to beam extraterrestrial messages of a benevolent nature into Phil's oft befuddled mind.

"The Unicorn"--as he was known to friends and fellow researchers--was none other than Ira Einhorn, a prominent figure in the New Age Counterculture of the late sixties and seventies. Phil and Ira became acquainted through the auspices of CoEvolution Quarterly, later renamed The Whole Earth Review, a by-product of former Merry Prankster Stewart Brand's revolutionary brainchild, The Whole Earth Catalog. Within the letter section of CoEvolution Quarterly, Dick and Einhorn initiated a dialogue on Soviet psychotronics & mind control, and it's far reaching implications. Shortly afterwards, Einhorn's girlfriend and fellow researcher, Holly Maddux's dismembered body parts were discovered in a steamer trunk in Einhorn's Philadelphia apartment, and Einhorn charged with her murder.

                In
PKD, The Unicorn and Soviet Psychotronics I presented what at that time was nothing more than a visceral theory which posited that Einhorn might've been set up to take the rap of Holly's murder to silence him at a juncture when he was bringing to the forefront Tesla's hidden technologies, and the profound impact these technologies would have upon humankind if they were to ever become widely known. Now, just recently, an affirmation of my gut feeling/theory has been seconded by Walter Bowart in a revised and updated edition of his classic Operation Mind Control( OMC), recently reissued by Flatland.

In Chapter 29: Invisible Warfare, Bowart discusses areas of mind control that--at the time of the first printing of OMC in the late seventies--were just beginning to come to the attention of cryptocracy/conspiracy researchers. A more advanced technology of mind control--according to Bowart--had taken the place of such traditional covert modus operandi as mind altering drugs and hypnosis, supplanting them with the insidious use of various psychotronic technologies such as ELF waves, microwaves and other forms of electromagnetic manipulation, whereby waves tuned to a certain frequency could induce a subject to become more prone to auto-suggestion, and perhaps even induce depressive or overly aggressive ASC's. (Some of these weapons have been referred to as Non-Lethal in recent military literature.) Besides affecting the human mind and body, some have suggested, certain forms of electromagnetic waves could also effect weather patterns from great distances.

One of the chief proponents in exposing the use of these covert technologies is Lt. Colonel Thomas Beardon, USAF(Ret.), a close friend and former associate of the aforementioned "Unicorn". A former military intelligence officer, Beardon publishes Specula, a magazine devoted to "psychotronics" and "bio-energetics". In the mid eighties, Bill Jenkins hosted a radio program on AM KFI in Los Angeles which on a weekly basis dealt with subjects of the paranormal. The first time I tuned into Jenkin's show his guest was none other than Col. Beardon, who spoke of a mysterious "woodpecker" signal, which during that era had become quite the hot topic among ham operators around the world. The so-called "woodpecker" signal could be replicated by tapping a pencil on a table between eight and fourteen times each second. Beardon claimed this signal emanated from the Soviet Union and had been traced to an alleged "Tesla Generator" in the cities of Riga and Gomel, and that the "woodpecker" signal was responsible for weather modification wars covertly waged upon an unsuspecting United States citizenry by the wily and unscrupulous Russians. These manipulations of U.S. weather patterns created a drought in the western states which ostensibly caused severe effects on farming and the economy in 1976, the same year the infamous "woodpecker" signal was first discovered. Such discoveries as these--shared with, and dispersed by, The Unicorn--are what many believe led to his subsequent fall from grace, when the figurative horn fell from his head, as he shed his Unicorn identity, sinking into the shadows of anonymity, to escape the dragnet of Big Brother.

Einhorn--prior to his arrest and subsequent flight from the authorities--was what Bowart termed "a dangerous free thinker." He'd become a one man army dedicated to information proliferation, setting up a vast network to disseminate the cutting edge ideas promulgated by a legion of new age physicists and researchers of whom he'd become associated, making available the actual blueprints of Tesla's inventions to any one who requested them, for a nominal fee. In so doing, Einhorn created a network along the lines of forums now accessible on The Internet. Eventually--had he not been "Put down, smudged, smeared, framed" as Bowart asserts--Einhorn and his ideas would probably be reaching a far wider audience through today's computer forums than what was possible in the late seventies via snail mail. These dangerous ideas consisted of information and designs of "free energy machines" alongthe lines of what Tesla had invented, as well as information on the various PSYOPS to which the military and intelligence agencies had been covertly applying these technologies.

As previously stated in PKD, The Unicorn and Soviet Psychotronics, Einhorn first came to the attention of the American public as Master of Ceremonies for the first Earth Day Celebration in 1970. Over the ensuing years, this event has unfortunately become a cooperate sponsored shadow of it's former self. Where the earlier versions were known for their radical and activist agendas, more recent incarnations of "Earth Day" have become increasingly soft pedaled and watered down by the cooperate elite; like a Burger King, for instance, who promote the use of recyclable products, while at the same time hacking away at what's left of the Earth's rapidly diminishing rain forests.

TAmong his many contacts, friends and acquaintances Einhorn counted such luminaries as Michael Murphy of Esalen Institute, astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Edgar Mitchell, Uri Geller and Andrija Puharich, Arthur C. Clarke, Arthur Koestler, Stewart Brand, UFO authority Jacques Vallee, Steven Speilberg and George Lucas, EST founder Werner Erhard, not to mention leading edge Quantum physicists Fred Wolf and Jack Sarfatti--of whom, for both--Einhorn even served for awhile as literary agent.

Being tapped into, as he was, this so-called cutting edge pipe line of new age thinkers, Einhorn--because of his vast knowled
