      Dear Colleagues,

      This is a Call for papers for the international conference "Towards a
      History of Sound-Symbolic Theories" to be held in Dijon, France, 20-21
      February 2014. The conference aims to bring together researchers from
      various disciplines to study the ways in which the theory of a motivated
      relationship between sound and meaning in language was formulated,
      defended and used throughout history in different traditions (Western,
      Hebrew, Arabic, Indian, Chinese, Japanese). The deadline for proposals
