MUSCAT -- April�Suzanna Varkey, a student of Indian School Al Ghubra (ISG) in Muscat has excelled in the second level of the Sixth�Science Olympiad Foundation, IMO (International Mathematics Olympiad) 2013 for the 12th�Grade.
April�Suzanna�has topped with first rank at the International Level. Her impressive performance exhibits a high level of competence and proficiency in Mathematics.
April is the daughter of Varkey V Cherian and Rani Elizabeth Varkey, members of the Muscat Mar Gregorios Maha Edavaka (ID # 145).
The IMO is conducted for all Indian Schools worldwide. The Schools in the states within India are treated as individual states and the schools of all the countries outside of India are considered as a single.
April Suzanna through hard work and sheer determination has�topped in all of the Indian schools outside of India. She�has managed to carve a niche for herself amongst the thousands who participate every year across the globe. The IMO helps to tap the creativity of students inculcating in them the spirit of competition and also gives them recognition thus enabling them to set higher goals.�
The management and teachers of Indian School Al Ghubra has in a statement expressed its happiness and are proud of April's success, congratulating her for this great achievement.
April�had recently completed her 12th�Grade with Commerce stream and has registered to further her career in the profession of Finance.�She aims to pursue Chartered Accountancy course through the Institute of Chartered�Accountancy of India (ICFAI) and has recently left to India to pursue further studies in this regard.

The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is the World Championship Mathematics Competition for High School students and is held annually in a different country. The first IMO was held in 1959 in Romania, with 7 countries participating. ~ LC
