      Marthoma metropolitan has once again shown his arrogant and unbecoming
      behaviour by expressing solidarity with the Jacobites and indirectly
      accusing the Orthodox church regarding the Kolencherry church issue.He
      should have advised the rebel catholicose to desist from such
      activities against the verdict of the hon. high court of Kerala, which
      only encourage the Jacobites to become lawless citizens.He went one
      step further,according to Mangalam daily, by calling up on the churches
      with a Syrian tag to accept the Syrian Patriarch as their supreme
      head.But Joseph Marthoma denied as having said so (Marthman T.V.).

      If the Mangalam report is true,then we can assume that he was
      expressing gratitude at his old age to the Patriarch of Antioch for the
      reason that he is a metropolitan today,because of that Patriarch.
      His ancestor Palakkunnathu Mathews mar Athanasios was the first
      metropolitan from Malankara ever consecrated directly by a Syrian
      Patriarch in the history of our church,who was responsible for the
      first split of the Church after coonan cross oath.As the Marthoma
      church originated in central Travancore,it is surrounded by the strong
      presence of the Orthodox church who possess many of the old churches
      which the reformists had to leave as per the Royal court verdict.For
      this reason he never miss a chance to hurt the Orthodox church with his
