    Dr Mar Yulios in Oman, to be chief celebrant at Feast of St Gregorios of Parumala at Muscat, Sohar, Salalah churches

    MUSCAT --- HG Pullikkottil Dr Geevarghese Mar Yulios, Metropolitan of Ahmedabad Diocese has began a three week Episcopal visit to the Sultanate from October 17 till November 8, 2013. 
    His Grace will be the chief celebrant for the Feast of our patron St Gregorios of Parumala at all the 3 churches namely at Muscat Mar Gregorios Orthodox Maha Edavaka, Sohar St George Orthodox Church and Salalah St Stephen's Orthodox Church. Also the celebrations will be held at all the seven congregations spread over the Sultanate.

    Dr Mar Yulios will also inaugurate the annual Muscat Maha Edavaka convention on November 1 which concludes on November 7. His Grace will also lead the 6th commemoration of LL HG Dr Stephanos Mar Theodosius (1924-2007) with a Holy Eucharist at St Thomas Church, Ruwi on November 4, Monday.
    On November 8, Friday, the Metropolitan will be the chief celebrant for the annual parish day programmes. His Grace will lead the Holy Eucharist and later inaugurate the auction sale and first fruit offerings.

    Other important engagements include consecration of the additional block of Sunday School on top floor of parsonage, chief guest at food carnival at Muscat Church (Oct 25), Holy Eucharists at Ghala Good Shepherd , visits to Nizwa, Ibri, Sur congregations.

    Earlier, Dr Mar Yulios was received upon arrival at the Muscat International Airport by Maha Edavaka Vicar Fr Joji George Koickalethu, Associate Vicar Fr Binu John Thomas, Sohar church Vicar Fr Varghese Thomas, Sabha Managing committee member P K Koshy, Dicoesan Council Member Mathew Ninan Athimoottil, Trustee T J Joseph, Co-Trustee John Thomas Vaddakedom and Secretary Biju George, John Thomas, and other members of the managing committee.
