3 Apr 13: "Western Australian Premier Colin Barnett sees
the Browse Point gas hub as a "last roll of the dice" for
Indigenous development. What role does that leave for the
state, asks Deborah Ruiz Wall. Premier Colin Barnett won a
resounding victory in the recent WA State elections – but
in the seat of Kimberley, Greens candidate Chris Maher’s
close contest shows that many in the electorate have
reservations about the Premier’s gas precinct project in

3 Apr 13: "Premier Colin Barnett has hit back at both sides
of Federal politics over their support for floating
offshore gas processing, arguing that development of the
giant Browse gas field is about more than ensuring riches
flow to Canberra. "This is a great natural resource and we
should not be looking at this solely in terms of revenue
flow to the Commonwealth, where any revenues received would
get lost in a Budget deficit," Mr Barnett told

      A. Never.
Barnett wants to know where are all the Australians to

      3 Apr 13: "Woodside Petroleum's $40 billion Browse gas
project could be delayed by up to a decade if it does not
come to a final investment decision by June. The oil and

removes the requirement for building a permanent processing
plant onshore, which can prove difficult on many levels,

developing huge gas fields via floating offshore
processing, including for Woodside's $40 billion Browse

possible. With the Liberal-Nationals Federal coalition
odds-on to take power in September, shadow resources

it’s not only shaping as a tectonic shift in the industry,
but in the political sphere, too. Readers of EnergyNews
