      Dear Compa�er@s, Friends and Family:

      On Friday, June 25, 2004, over 100 supporters, activists, family and
      friends gathered at the Martin Luther King, Jr., Labor Center (1199,
      SEIU) in New York for the 10th Annivesary Celebration of the
      ProLibertad Freedom Campaign. It was a resounding success!! Special
      props to ProLibertad members Shawn Garcia, Melissa Montero, Ismael
      Nu�ez, Hector Torres, Benjamin Ramos, and Esperanza Martell, who
      hosted various parts of our program. Mambo Jazzy, Rafael Landron,
      Mariposa, Sandra Rodriguez, DJ Carlito and the Welfare Poets all
      rocked the house!! The food was most definitely Criolla, with videos,
      campaign information, literature, and arts & crafts available, as well
      as, our 20 page Special 10th Anniversary Journal. Special thanks to
      Anne Lamb for her great work on the journal working collectively with
      Benjamin Ramos and me. Special Props to Carlos "Carlito" Rovira for a
      making a great 10th Anniversary Banner and for DJ Carlito's great
      sounds that night. Thanks to 1199/SEIU for hosting us and to their
      staff for their support and professionalism in making our 10th
      Annivesary a success!

      The ProLibertad Freedom Awards were presented to: Paulette D'Auteil
      (Jericho Movement), Jose de Jesus (Center for Puerto Rican Studies),
      Dred Scott Keys (WBAI), Alina Serrano (S.L.A.M. and Vieques Support
      Campaign), Jessica San Clemente (Justice Committee of the National
      Congress for Puerto Rican Rights), Elspeth Meyer (Resistance in
      Brooklyn), Wayne Lum (Asians for Mumia), Virginia Ayress (Chilean
      Artist/La Pe�a del Bronx, Trabajadoras por la Paz), Danilo La Chapel
      (Iglesia Evangelica Espa�ola del Bronx), San Romero de las Am�ricas
      �UCC (Luis Barrios representing the Church Collective) and last but
      certainly not least Betty "Coqui" Brassell (Vieques Activist/Community
      Leader-Loisaida). A special shout out to Iris Zavala Martinez (Puerto
      Rico) a longtime friend of ProLibertad, who joined us with her Son
      Saulo and Grandaughter Soledad.

      We received messages of congratulations and solidarity from: Antonio

      On behalf of ProLibertad, I would like to extend our love and
      appreciation to all those present Friday and to friends of the
      campaign who were unable to make it. Many of you worked alongside us
      moving fliers and tickets, getting ads in for our Journal, providing
      food, cultural performances, bringing family and friends, and just
      saying �Presente! on our 10th Anniversary. We will be working in the
      coming weeks on our 10th Anniversary Video. If you have pictures
      and/or video footage that you want to share/contribute please contact

      As always, as we will continue our work in the days, months, and years
      ahead until our prisoners are free and beyond! We spoke about current
      and future projects and we will be calling on all of you to
      contribute, support and show your love in the campaign to free the
      Puerto Rican Political Prisoners and Prisoners of War and All
