Call To Action conference and young adults
- saludos to all,
i wanted to share the invitation below to join Call To Action and others in the progressive faith movement this November, a special call out to young adults. Call To Action is one of the largest progressive Catholic movements and embodies many of the principles of activism that many of us hold. there are scholarships for young adults to help cover expenses related to conference and as pre-event to the conference, there is a retreat friday geared towards young adults which is free.
please let me know if you have any questions. its a fun filled weekend to connect with others who are advocating for transformation not only within the church but society as a whole, advocating for justice for the lgbtq communities, women, reproductive justice, church worker justice, and other causes--there are workshops and speakers and time for fun. also, i will be presenting a workshop on transgender faith and activism.
i hope to see some of you at conference. one does not need to be catholic to attend, all are truly welcome!!!

What are you called to?
Join CTA 20/30, DignityUSA, FutureChurch, and the Women's Ordination Conference as we gather for a meditative retreat before Call To Action's Annual Conference in Louisville.
In this safe space, we will reflect on our individual and collective calls to work for peace and justice, and explore our diverse manifestations of our Catholic vocation.
Our day together will balance meditative prayer, guided by Sr. Belinda Monahan, OSB, featured panel speakers, and open discussion.
Let's take time together to navigate how God is calling young Catholics to do the work of justice, and the sustainability of the paths we find ourselves on.
Friday, November 9th 9am-3pm
Panelists include: Erin Saiz Hanna; Jennifer O'Malley, RCWP; Patrick Cassidy; Anice Schervish-Chenault; Reece Chenault
Space is limited. Contact ellen@...

delfin w. bautista, msw, mdiv"I am an activist-theologian, and for me doing mujerista theology is one of the ways I participate in the struggle for the liberation of latina women and our communities in the USA ... Following the example of grassroots hispanic women, I do not think in terms of 'spirituality.' But I know myself as a person with a deep relationship with the divine, a relationship that finds expression in walking picket lines more than in kneeling, in being in solidarity with the poor and the oppressed more than in fasting and mortifying the flesh..." -- Dr. Ada Maria Isasi-Diaz
