      WOW2003 planning teams are forging ahead in finalizing plans for the massive WOW2003 gathering this August. Here's an update on what to expect: Speakers ConfirmedThese persons currently confirmed as speakers and preachers for WOW2003. Other speakers will be confirmed very soon.Preachers and worship speakers: Rev. Yvette Flunder, pastor of City of Refuge UCC, an Open and Affirming Congregation, in San Francisco;Dr. Virginia Ramey Mollenkott, lesbian feminist author--recently published Omnigender;Rev. Troy Perry, founder and moderator of Metropolitan Community Churches; Vance Robbins, member of Cherokee nation of Oklahoma and coordinator of multicultural programs at California Lutheran University; Louise Rose, American Baptist musician and motivational speaker from Vancouver, B.C.; andRev. Janie Spahr, national evangelist of That All May Freely Serve.
      Bible Study leaders:Rev. Sally Boyles, Anglican priest and rector of Holy Trinity Church in Toronto;Dr. Larry Greenfield, former president of Colgate Rochester Divinity School, now co-director of the Religious Institute on Sexual Morality, Justice and Healing;Rev. Eric H.F. Law, Episcopal priest, author and diversity consultant;Dr. David Otto; professor of religion at Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana;Rev. Erin Swenson, Presbyterian pastor and transgender activist in Atlanta;Dr. Mary Tolbert, New Testament professor at Pacific School of Religion;Rev. Dr. Mark Wilson, pastor of McGee Avenue Baptist Church in Berkeley and adjunct professor at several seminaries.
      The list of workshops and leaders have been finalized and invitations are being extended. The complete list of workshops is expected to be posted on the web site at the end of March. Web Site UpdatedThe WOW2003 web site, www.wow2k.org, has been redesigned and now includes information about the WOW2003 site at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Program details will be posted on the web site in the coming weeks. Registration to Open in Mid-MarchWOW2003 planners are scrambling to finalize program details and logistical arrangements in order to open registration in mid-March. Printed registration materials will be automatically sent to WOW2000 participants and to all Welcoming Congregations in the denominational programs that are sponsoring WOW2003, as well as to organizations and congregations that are WOW2003 Partners, Allies and Friends. If you would like to receive registration materials as soon as they are available, send your mailing address to: info@.... You will also be able to register on the WOW2003 web site where complete registration information will also be available. You will receive email notification when online registration is open. Registration fees for WOW2003 will include all conference activities and meals from Thursday evening through Sunday morning (with the exception of Friday night dinner). These program fees will be:Adult $295 ($255 if registered by April 30th)Youth/Student/Low Income $170 ($150 if registered by April 30th)Child (12 & under) $70 ($50 if registered by April 30th) Several campus housing options will be available. While the details of campus housing are not yet available, the cost will be around $50 per night per person. In addition, special WOW2003 rates are being negotiated with several nearby hotels. You can also get WOW2003 postcards and flyer to promote WOW2003 in your congregation or organization. Order quantities by calling 1-866-550-3500, or emailing publicity@.... Be sure to give your name, shipping address and quantity of postcards and/or flyers you can use. New Groups/Congregations Enroll as WOW SupportersThe number of groups and congregations that are involved with and support WOW2003 continues to grow--now to more than 50. Information on how your group/congregation can support WOW2003 and be featured before this mass gathering of 1,500 LGBT Christians and allies can be found on this web page.
