Group Description

Hi all,

ISSTracking is a group for ISS tracking enthusiasts and high resolution imaging behind a telescope. Here you will discuss with people with great experience in that matter ! Special thanks to them for already having joined !

The main purpose is to make a few efficient ISS automated tracking and high resolution capture systems for amateurs ! But for the time being we will welcome all the manual tracking advices !

We all loose a lot of our precious time just trying to get a couple of good images on our sensors in crude technical conditions !

There are enough motivated people around the World to start joining our efforts and share our knowledge ! Language is English in order to be able to get the brain power of almost everybody implicated in technical development ! Autotracking software projects are not finished until somebody with a very good knowledge in programming (e.g. Delphi) joins ...

All the aspects would be taken into account and different proposal would be tested by the members of the group with their own material.

Subjects to develop and see how to realize :

**Efficient mount system :
- altaz
- polar
- polar but aligned on ISS orbit center (Pole ISS. Calsky furnish this data, only RA moves needed thereafter)
- Alt Alt AZ ! (called Three Axis)

**Telescopes :
- Meade
- Celestron
- SW ...

**Efficient cameras, size of sensor and best settings:
- DSLR
- DMK
- LUMENERA
- Video cameras
- Webcams

**Video-tracking / TLE-tracking softwares :
- softwares already available
- what new softwares ideas ?
- what softwares could be easily improved ?
- what sources are available ?
- who has programming capabilities and willing to help (Delphi, C+) in a specialized Open project ?
- hints for manual tracking !
... much and more !

Please when joining, do a short presentation, tell what is your setup and if you already have something to share or not ... In order to avoid spams, you have to be approved by me to be a member. Then posts are not moderat
