If you need a copy of the latest ISO8601:2000 Standard, then
a very late draft copy of it, is currently available at:

      <http://lists.ebxml.org/archives/ebxml-core/200104/msg00252.html>

The file is supposed to be called <154n362_ISO8601-2000.pdf>
or <154n362.pdf>, but on my system, it got saved as <pdf00005.pdf>.

The draft copy is dated 2000-12-15, which is only 6 days before the
publication date of the final released version. Bearing in mind that
the revision of ISO 8601 had gone on for over 3 years, the two
versions are likely to be extremely close in wording.

Perhaps one of those people that have access to the final published
version could write up a list of all the changes that they can find
between the two documents (if any), and either post it here, or to
the files area of yahoogroups, or to a publicly accessible web site.
That list will be much shorter than the list of changes between
the old ISO8601:1988 and the new ISO8601:2000.

The project that the ebxml web site is dealing with is ending in
      just a few weeks time.

It is unknown if the archives where the ISO8601:2000 file is stored
will remain online, or will be pulled off, after that time.

If you want a free copy of the ISO8601:2000 standard, then my
suggestion is to get the file sooner, rather than later, in order
to 'avoid disappointment' (as the well known advert says).

      Cheers,

      Ian.
