2010 Caravan Itinerary
14 October - Friday: - Mike G2CU & Margie’s (The Double M) in Tacoma. Campers welcome for pre-trip rally, or meet Saturday morning for the scheduled departure at 10 am(?)
15 October - Saturday: Fort Stevens (near Astoria, OR). Camping, yurts available. 151 Miles in little over 3 hours, add 2 to 3 hours for sight-seeing
16 October - Sunday: Beverly Beach State Park (near Newport, Oregon). Camping, yurts available. Roll on (across the) Columbia for 126 Miles of gorgeous Oregon Coastline, many scenic stops and side trips available.
17 October - Monday: Harris Beach State Park (Southern Oregon, near Crescent City, California). Camping, yurts available. 210 Miles of gorgeous Oregon Coastline, many scenic stops and side trips available.
18 October - Tuesday: Redwoods River Resort 195 Miles – many scenic detours through the Redwoods - be sure to get off the main highway and drive down Avenue of The Giants!
19 October - Wednesday: Saratoga Springs Campground, California. At least 237 miles – cross the Golden Gate Bridge – possible stops in SF or Half Moon Bay or arrive early to snag the best camping sites for IRF and enjoy the intimacy of the “pre-fest” that evening.
20 October - Thursday: Half Moon Bay State Park. Closest camping to Old Princeton Landing. Other options include the Bandit Motel, the long, bleary drive back to Saratoga, or other hotels.
