Eric Walters suggests that the Lincoln Park area & Evanston/Gillson Park
area have the highest bird lists in the "Upper Midwest", beating out
such sites as Point Pelee. The latest checklist for the Point Pelee
birding area (published by The Friends of Point Pelee) lists 382
species, and some online checklists (perhaps with a slightly different
area definition) are higher (e.g. 394 in the Avibase version). A list
of "over 335 species" for Evanston may be impressive, but is not really
      competitive with Point Pelee.
