If you can get to Philadelphia, "In Citizen's Garb: Southern Plains Native Americans, 1889-1891," March 26 -- June 20, is a new exhibit at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, 3260 South Street, Philadelphia, PA. An exhibit of 53 photographs of members of the Kiowa and Comanche tribes document how their dress and lives changed from 1889 to 1891, at a time when they were pressured to adopt Euro-American lifestyles, supplemented by objects from the Penn Museum's collection of Native American clothing and accessories.
