Subject: [ICG-D] New Lifetime Achievement Award, President's Awards recipients

The ICG presented its highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award (LAA) on Saturday evening after the Sci-Fi/Fantasy masquerade at Costume-Con 32. The LAA recognizes a body of achievement in the costuming art and service to the costuming community. The award is voted on by the chapter presidents and ICG officers. Twenty-five other recipients have been honored  since the award's inception in 1990.

The 2014 LAA recipient was Ann Catelli of the Northern Lights Costumers Guild. Chapter President
Jamila Sisco accepted the award on Ann's behalf. You can view the full text of the citation by visiting the LAA page on the ICG website at http://www.costume.org/lifetime.

President's Awards were also presented to ICG newsletter editor Carole Parker, ICG Treasurer Jeanine Swick, and ICG assistant webmaster Susan Toker. Carole was cited
for her work in transforming the the format and style of ICG Newsletter into its current form as 'The International Costumer'. Jeanine's  award was presented in grateful appreciation for her many years of faithful service as ICG Treasurer. Susan was recognized for furthering the ICG's outreach to the costuming community and beyond through her work in maintaining the ICG's "Mega Convention List".

Please join me in congratulating Ann, Carole, Jeanine, and Susan for their achievements!

      Philip Gust
      President, International Costumers' Guild
