Subject: [RCAAM] Free Webinar Wednesday October 2nd on Collections Management

The Small Museums Committee of AASLH is pleased to be partnering with the Connecting to Collections Online Community!

Essential Elements of a Collections Management Policy
      Tomorrow  - Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. (EDT)

Have you ever found yourself trying to protect your organization’s collections from well-meaning volunteers, board members, colleagues, or even from members of the community who don’t understand why their proposal may not be in the best interest of the collections? Join us for this hour-long webinar where instructor Bruce MacLeish will use real-life examples to demonstrate how to use a collections management policy to help make and enforce difficult decisions. In doing so, Bruce will highlight the essential elements of collections management policies.

This webinar was created in partnership with
American Association for State and Local History’s Small Museum Committee.

You do not need to be a registered member of the Online Community to participate in this webinar. Simply click on the green “Access Meeting Room” button on the right-hand side of the home page. Once there, enter your name and location and click enter. You will be redirected to the webinar. If you’re having difficulty, please take a look at our technical check page. This live chat event is not like one of our online courses, no pre-registration is required. Simply log on during the time of the webinar. An archive of the event will be posted to the
      Online Community
