The Chicago Area Archivists group is sponsoring a series of digital archives recorded web seminars at various locations through the Chicago metropolitan area. Registration is open now for webinars beginning this Thursday, August 29, at the University of Chicago Special Collections Department in the Regenstein Library. Details about the webinars are below and registration can be done online up to midnight before the day of the broadcast. These are helpful and affordable presentations for librarians, local history curators, archivists, and museum staff who need to move themselves and their institutions into digital preservation.
Please note that the web registration form uses PayPal, which some government offices prohibit. You do not need your own PayPal account to register; only a credit card. These will likely be the last digital archives recorded presentations that the Chicago Area Archivists will present, at least for the foreseeable future, and the price can't be beat, so don't hesitate if you're on the fence about attending.
